50020 hammers along the Exe Estuary at Starcross with 1B24, 0730 Paddington to Penzance service on 19 June, 1978. Shortly after, on 7 July, the loco would receive the name 'Revenge'. It survived in service until 1990, being condemned in August of that year.

I have lots of shots for fence friday, here is the first of the new batch....haha! There weren't many fall colors in the trees, but there were plenty on the ground, so I shot a low pov capture. I was happy to see I didn't cut the vanishing point out either....lol! Have a great weekend everyone!

Uns 90 segons d'exposició a f8 (EV 13.5).
Càmera Graflex Speed Graphic, fabricada cap al 1951; objectiu Kodak Anastigmat f4.5.
Imatge positivada digitalment a partir del negatiu original en paper.
==========================
This calotype turned out pretty well, considering the horrible heat wave this August, and considering I was testing to see if I came out with a lot of fog. Unfortunately this calotype was "only" the control with respect to a new batch sensitized with the maximum possible darkness and which had to come out much better. Unfortunately, I think I cleaned the sheets too quickly and there were chemicals left behind that completely fogged them.
Calotype (modified Pélegry); Canson Marker paper, cut to 4x5"". Developed with gallic acid and acetonitrate of silver for 15 minutes. About 90 seconds exposure at f8 (ev 13.5).
Graflex Speed Graphic camera, made c.1951; 4x5 calotype.
Positive image made in PHotoshop from the original paper negative.
I've been delaying posting these two images for quite some time given just how great they are, and wondering if I'd ever turn up any as good as this again, but over the weekend I just acquired a massive new batch of older images so ready to post this one now! This was, way back in 1971, the Touchwood Sports Centre (and petrol station for some reason) and has continued on that theme up until very close to the present day. The petrol station part disappeared a long time back, not sure exactly when but long before the first Streetview image was taken. To be honest it was hardly a surprise that happened. All the way through Streeetview it had become a "Go Outdoors," the UK's biggest outdoor stores apparently. I have to say it looked incredibly ugly by then, all the glass gone and replaced with blue corrugated metal, a real eyesore, and even more so now that it has closed down in the last year or so. It looked so much better here, with the great Texaco branding of the 1970s and the fascia looking at least fairly welcoming. Free Tetley Tea Bags would not have encouraged me to fill up, but it's an offer I've not seen before in any other photo! As can be seen, the site was closed on this day, a Friday. Maybe it was Good Friday, but having checked it wasn't, it was the week after.
Anyone wanting to go to a Go Outdoors store now has to travel to Swindon, Milton Keynes or Basingstoke, all three hardly the most enticing of prospects!
Here's how it looks in the near present day, as I say, a real eyesore!

Developer: Caffenol C-L (minus restrainer)
Time: 35 min @ 24 degC semi-stand
Caffenol is generally a one shot developer but I was too lazy to make up a new batch so I reused a batch from developing another roll (developer was <1hr old). The negative came out thinner than usual but I was still able to extract reasonable images.
Back the start of this year, on the first day of 2021 we went out for a short stroll in our own neighborhood.
Decided to take only one camera with me and only a few lenses.
Took one of our Canon Eos 3 cameras, and after shooting with some Superia 400 I loaded the Eos 3 with some Fujifilm Superia 200 (Expiry date 12-2014)
There is just a slight color mismatch with this expired film. but the results are nice.
Lenses used while we were walking around neighborhood were the Canon EF 20-35mm F2.8L, Canon EF 28-70mm F2.8L USM and the trusty "old" Magic Drainpipe Canon EF 80-200 F2.8L
Didn't use the 20-35 actually very much. Perhaps I should have taken the Canon EF 17-35mm F2.8L USM for more wide angle shots 😁
Developing was done at home with our Cinestill Cs41 kit at 39c and 4 minutes
This was the sixth film with the new batch of developer mixed on September 9 2020
Curious if we can reach over 25 films again and 10 months with this new batch.
The previous developer batch was used to develop 28 films (135-36 format) over an period of 10 months without any problems.
The Cinestill CS41 does stay in good working condition if kept cool, dark and oxygen free.

Christmas comes but once a year so the saying goes, so I would like to wish all the blogs viewers and readers the compliments of the season and I hope that it is as happy a time for you as you would wish for yourselves.
It has been a bumper year for days out on the Rails, Roads and Runways of the UK where a wide selection of images have been gathered by friend Peter Rose and myself.
Our gift to you then, is to post blogs on every day over the Christmas and New Year period.
Starting on Christmas Eve, the 24th. of December and concluding on New Years Day, January 1st. 2023.
So, don’t just get glued to the television, have a look at what is on offer at

Nottingham In recent times has been a bit on the quiet side when it comes to buses however, I thought that the arrival of a new batch of gas powered double deckers for ‘Nottingham City Transport’ made the two and a half hours return journey (by bus of course) just about worthwhile.
The new contract for route 18 started on Saturday 11th November 2017, passing from Willesden Junction (WJ) garage to the rival down the road at Park Royal (RP), where London United took over from Metroline. In terms of service, there have been some substantial issues, although this is to be expected with such a large route like this.
Eventually, the 18 will be operated with a full allocation of these Wrightbus Gemini 3 B5LH vehicles, although some late deliveries of the new batch have resulted in some additional E400 appearances. As well as the 37 67-plate VHs, there are twelve other Gemini 3s that are working the route - these were previously found on routes 65 and 139 but have been transferred over due to fleet shuffles and the cancellation of route 72's double decking.
A fully refurbished ADE40412 is seen at Baker Street en route to Sudbury.

Set to arrive at 'the orphanage' late tonight and tomorrow throughout the day. ;)
Route 85 is in its last few weeks of operation by London General at Putney Garage and on 2nd July the route will start to be operated by London United from Tolworth. It will be operated by a new batch of Volvo B5LH's - at the moment it is officially operated by WVL class Volvo B7TL's that date from 2002. However, this is a Volvo B5LH from the allocation for route 22 - Putney Garage are not exactly strict with their vehicle allocations.

For months, every time I go into the Range store, I go look at these little camper vans. Usually they are too scratched and dented for my liking, but they must have had a new batch in, coz this one passed, and came home with me :)

The new batch of Tridents delivered to Stagecoach this year would have another difference, like has happened with each batch since TA1. Still fitted with the Cummins ISCe 225 30 Euro3 engine these buses have the centre door moved back in the "correct position" (like the Titan's). This is done to prevent damage to the wheelchair ramp, but gives a better layout and much more easier to exit the bus from both decks. Another feature is tree loppers and the nearside blindbox moved to the bottom of the window like on DLA's.
At Stagecoach London's Stratford garage is 9.9m Dennis Trident/Alexander ALX400, TAS551 LY02 OBC [SD] (TAS554 to the left) and the rest of the batch delivered awaiting service at [SD] are for the new route 86 tender which commences on 20 July 2002, which [SD] would have a major allocation. Photo taken on 10 July 2002. Note none of the batch has any Dennis, Alexander or Trident badges at all.

° Converted to black and white with the corresponding filter, this works much better than the desaturation filter, since you can perfectly control how all colours convert to their grayscale equivalent.
° Used a mask in the adjustment layer above to paint back a few spots of colour in the distance, selected the mask on its own ( alt-click it ) and applied a gaussian blur on it to blend my brush strokes together to ensure no stripes would appear in the mask and thus the resulting colour.
° Used the tint option to about 5% with the default sepia like colour.
° High pass sharpening, see below.
° My photoshop tutorial on Layers, Masks, Selections & Channels.

Me and Joe are on the road to Pearsonville on friday AM. We're gonna stir the petri dish and see if we can breed us a new batch of night photographers. Yes, it's time for the Night Photography and Light Painting workshop! See ya'll next week.

I couldn't think of a decent title. But to me these look like three little Inuit, shoulders and heads sticking out of the snow. Faces peering from a fur-rimmed hood, protected from the icy elements.
What would you like to do on a fine winter's day?
Just recently (like the last few years) I've found it tough to get out of bed at anything like an early hour. I used to leave for work at six am and was always going out on some adventure or another at dawn. But these days the cosiness of my bed is hard to tear myself away from and now I have cotton wool between my ears. That probably was already the way, but the new batch is much fluffier and full of air than before.
So what's up? Laziness, age, hibernating tendencies, a phase or just enjoying my life? I have no idea. Will it pass? Perhaps, perhaps not. It seems we change throughout our lives and we never stay the same person. Maybe I'll be even more lazy in the future or start to get up at 4am every day.
The reason I am writing about this is because today was a good day. I've just had two mid-week days off and been very lazy. But I remarked to my partner earlier, that despite lazing about in bed all morning that we still got a lot done. She said that she had been thinking the same half an hour before. This was as we trudged back down the hill, rosey-cheeked and contented after a few hours skiing and sculpture making.
Yesterday we visited a place called Dallam Tower Park, walked though the snow, gazed across to the mountains plastered white with an arctic coat and watched the Fallow Deer shelter beneath the trees. Whilst children sledged the slopes, we fell silent as the meditation of a beautiful walk sunk through to our souls. It didn't matter that we didn't walk for too long, it felt timeless nonetheless and a bowl of tomato soup, bread and fresh basil was a fitting rejoinder.
Today we went back again and took skis, and leaf discs of ice. Whilst I carved circles from the snow, Julia zig-zagged down the slope with a big grin on her face.
When it began to snow quite heavily once again, skiied out and sculpture in the can, we headed home again for tea and chocolate biscuits (it is a hard life), happy and contented once again.
I guess the moral of this story is that I hate to waste a day doing nothing. But then again, I like doing nothing sometimes. But doing nowt, may leave you feeling guilty that you achieved nowt. So how enjoyable it is to get up late, have a leisurely breakfast, take your time and relax into the day. Only then to go out make a sculpture, ski the slopes and still return home early so that another relaxing evening can be squeezed in before work comes around once again.
Perhaps it's luck, perhaps the wintry conditions bring out my happy soul within, but when it feels right, having a lazy day where you achieve something just feels the best of all worlds. Now if only I could do that everyday. Now where did I put my lottery ticket?

Going around town with the camera in the morning with the sun shining from the East can be so different from the afternoon. I have always loved the Caledonian Hotel but a shot of it in bright sunlight is only available until 11ish in summer months.
Here comes Volvo B8L / Enviro 400XLB number 1092 (SJ19 OXH) on a Service 22 with Volvo B5TL / Wright Gemini 3 number 443 (SJ66 LDF) bringing up the rear, one the new batch from 2016.
Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian is a five-star hotel which opened in 1903. It is an example of a British grand railway hotel, formerly called The Caledonian Hotel, and nicknamed 'The Caley'.
It was constructed from 1899 to 1903 and was part of the Caledonian Railway's Edinburgh Princes Street station. It was a rival to the North British Railway's North British Hotel which opened at the other end of Princes Street in 1902. The hotel was built on top of the stone built, V-shaped station building which had been built as a replacement for the previous wood-built station which was damaged in a fire in 1890. The architects of the hotel were John Peddie and George Washington Browne (Washington Browne also designed Edinburgh's Central Library in George IV Bridge).
In 1965, Princes Street Station was closed and it was demolished by 1970. This provided room for expansion for the hotel and the cast iron gates at the entrance to a car park in Rutland Street are the only remainder of the station outwith the hotel. The original station clock, pre-dating the fire of 1890, has been preserved inside the hotel.
My new batch of small needle-felted landscape brooches. Each scene is 1 1/4" wide and set into a base of wood I make by hand.
I seek to make scenes that feel peaceful and quiet. Inspired by places I've been and places I'd like to go.
You can never have enough of....well the Balmoral Hotel with its 58 metre clock tower of the 1890's of course! Two of Lothian's buses drop-off and pick-up passengers at Waverley Steps.
Star bus of the year Volvo B5LH / Gemini 3 number 584 (SJ67 MGV) 'Fab U Bus' is in celebration of LGBT Pride Edinburgh with its rainbow colours on Service 22.
It's in the company of former London Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2, number1145 (LX60 DXK) on Service 4, one of thirteen in a new batch of eight year old buses which retain their original plug dual doors.
Chip-In Farm welcomed a new batch of baby goats this winter, and they are very vocal and energetic. They are tricky to photograph, as they come over to nibble on my shirt when I stick my camera in their stall. In this shot, just underneath the frame, are two little goats bleating and nibbling on my cuffs.
Here's something a little different!
With Black Lightning in the midst of its final season (reportedly due to a rise in filming costs in its Georgia home) I've been left thinking about the characters we're leaving behind, and what could be done with them. We've introduced a hell of a lot of Outsiders for them to have yet to exist, so here's my pitch:
After the (currently unknown) events of the Black Lightning finale, Anyssa Pierce and Grace Choi are ready to move on from Freeland and find a community of their own that could use their help. What was intended to be a duo quickly becomes a team, as three freshly-graduated teenagers and an ex-agent of a corrupt government agency are also eager to make a difference. As Thunder and Grace find themselves unexpectedly training a team of new heroes, they also find themselves in the company of a now-veteran crime-fighter Roy Harper, aka Arsenal.
Let's meet the team:
Thunder - aka Anyssa Pierce. Team leader that could pick a fight with a semitruck and win.
Wylde - aka Grace Choi. A shapeshifter still battling her own insecurities.
Geo-Force - aka Brandon Marshall. A passionate geokinetic looking for answers about his past.
Technocrat - aka Baron Geoffrey. The technopathic 90s-kid-out-of-time.
Freight Train - aka Erica Moran. Her kinetic absorption powers make her as dangerous as she is asocial.
Atomic Knight - aka Sgt. Gardner Grayle. An expert marksman in shining experimental armor, looking to make up for his time with the ASA.
Arsenal - aka Roy Harper. Ex-sidekick to the Green Arrow, once again drawn back in to the life of a vigilante.

Hey, so uh...I know I kinda promised to post more, and that um...didn't...happen. Here's the thing.
This past year has been pretty rough, and I'm no exception to that. Like I said a few months ago, I've been completely unemployed since this time last year, and attempts to solve that problem have been pretty fruitless. My depression has been creeping back in and my best method against it is to follow what's got me excited, and right now that's my Power Rangers RPG. I've been working on it since last summer and it's almost ready to play, but it's basically a full-time job that, again, is making me no money 😅
The lack of significant income means new pieces are kind of a no-go aside from the occasional whole set, which makes it pretty hard to do whole projects for you guys. Not only that, I've made kind of a ton of figures?? Currently there's over 200 custom DC heroes in my collection, and those are just the few I've kept in one piece. There's not a lot of characters that I haven't either done or tried by now, which makes it kind of a time-sink to explore them. Plus, a lot of the shows and movies - which usually inspire what I do next - have been tapping a lot of the same concepts and characters rather than busting out many new ones.
That being said, I do have a little stockpile of figures that are ready to go! The problem *there* is that my upload format takes a while to type up, and I basically have to clear a whole night just to do an upload. With this Rangers project taking up so much of my time, I just simply can't bring myself to summarize over a dozen ComicVine entries right now - and I'm not about to break my format. SO please be patient with me! It's likely still gonna be awhile before I get a new batch up, but hopefully it'll be worth it when I do!
I will promise, though, that a new batch of Arrowverse Multiverse minifigs will be gracing your feeds at least before the end of the last Arrowverse show's season this year! Ideally, it'll be in time for the triumphant return of John Diggle and his lovely new jewelry!
Once again, thank you all so much for your support and your patience! Stay safe out there, wear a mask, get vaccinated if and when you can, and do what you can to save the world - even if it's just the little chunk you're standing on!
Metroline route N7: Oxford Circus, John Prince's Street - Northolt Station
Greenford Broadway (N)
Route 7 is to display the Mark 2 update to The Wright Group's Gemini 3 with new batch VWH2285-2305 this summer. Due to the lower PVR of night routes, the N7 has already converted bar one or two original VWHs. The new buses replace VWH2001-2023, which are currently transferring to Holloway (HT) for route 17.
Apparently, the route failed a test for its new buses which again brings up the question as to why buses are purchased before compatibility for their route is confirmed: Metroline's existing Mark II Gemini 3s would have come in useful here. Anyway, at least Holloway get newer buses, although continuing their theme of acquiring second-hand vehicles ousted from other garages.

I've been away for a week, now I'm back! And my photo backlog has increased by another 100 or so 😂 I honestly think I have nearly 300 potential photos in my backlog now so no need to worry about that for a long time to come!
To restart the upload schedule we have a bus which is equipped with a feature that only itself and one other of its type have in the fleet. That being camera mirrors! A new technology that's come along in the past few years which is now being fitted to more and more new buses. For whatever reason this one is the only one of its batch that has been fitted with them, making it unique in its batch!
Seen here approaching the junction of Renfield Street and St Vincent Street in Glasgow is First Glasgow ADL Enviro400 MMC SK68 LWN (Fleet Number 33201) as it works off route on a service 41 to Easterhouse via Duke Street.
This vehicle wears the First Glasgow Urban livery with yellow branding for route 75 applied which is how it looked as new in 2018. This bus was the one used in the unique launch event for the new batch of buses where it was seen sat inside a Northcord-model-style box in George Square to introduce these new vehicles to the public. I just wonder how big a screwdriver was needed to remove the bus from the base plate before it could be driven out...lol

Sometimes it's hard for us to differentiate what's the dream and what's the memory. I't's not just simply the dé jà vu, but more like we confused ourselves due to the lost of memory between what we met in real life and what we got in dream.
Through the image retouching skill I will continue to present to you new batch under the same concept of "scenery from crossover of time & space" . You will see the images were formed by the combination of multiple scenery from different space & time, which created a new whole feel when you saw them.
