Whilst out diecast hunting today I spotted all four of these new Matchbox 1983 Ford Fiesta in a well rummaged box of 2024 Case A. Not one of them had been touched which is extremely unusual considering just how sought after they are with UK collectors at the moment! Maybe the collectors in this area don't like the colour which is more Ghia than XR2 but either way amazingly I left them ALL behind for someone else to enjoy.
I already have plenty thanks to finding the first two new batches of 2025 including this example which came in Case A.
Mint and boxed.
First of all, I'm still having problems with developing, as is pretty obvious here. Again, temperature may be an issue; my apartment these days is rarely above 70 degrees. Today I realized I should also mix up a new batch of fixer.
Now...why was the fire department here? Because I called 911! My carbon monoxide alarm went off. Thinking that my earlier cooking up of a big breakfast--bacon, eggs, the works--may have triggered it, I reset the alarm and opened a window and then, believe my stupidity or not, considered taking a nap (it was Saturday afternoon!) About 20 minutes later, the alarm went off again. I poked my head out the door and heard the alarms in other apartments. I quickly Googled 'carbon monoxide' - I know, I should know better already - and everything I saw said something to the effect of CO poisoning killing people. I panicked and wondered if I was having symptoms of CO exposure and in doing so gave myself a headache. So, I put on my coat & boots and called 911, praying that I wasn't inconveniencing the fire dep't. In the time that it took me to leave a message on my landlord's voicemail, they were here.
It wasn't nothing. Next door there is some interior construction going on and an industrial space heater was running inside and it was causing CO levels to rise in both buildings. One of the tenants from that building came out, wondering what all the fuss was about - they don't have CO alarms in their apartments. Thank you, landlord, for giving them to us last year, even if it was because you were forced to for insurance inspection purposes.
A new batch of Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force troops arrived in Juba on November 21, 2016 to join U.N. peacekeeping activities under a more robust mandate in line with Japan’s new security law.
The first batch of 130 forces arrived with the rest of the 350-strong force expected later.
Japanese media are reporting that 60 of the troops are in charge of security while another unit is responsible for engineering work.
The Japanese government last year approved the new law expanding the role of the Japanese military serving in peacekeeping missions beyond engineering and logistical work, authorizing them to rescue humanitarian workers when under attack.

I called them flower keepers, the were a group of ladies going around the whole cemetery bringing flowers sent by their loved ones. They had a bunch of flowers and a list of customers to attend to. They went to each tombstone, cleaned the old flowers and then replaced them with a new batch.
The heart of any whisky is the spirit—the alcohol that gets placed into the casks to mature.
At Macallan the mash is distilled twice, creating foreshots (the first 5-10% of liquid captured), spirit, and feints (the majority of the liquid). The Macallan keeps a very small volume of the distillate—only that produced in the range of 68-74%.
The feints and foreshots are captured and distilled with a new batch of mash. Whatever is not used—the spent lees—are reclaimed and shipped to be made into fertilizer.
Spike had given me the idea to bring a camera into work one day, although there aren't too many opportunities to take pictures of interesting things at my work... I took this chance when I saw a new batch of heads coming out of the molds...
And for those who are freaked out... just know that I work for a company that actually designs and manufactures Crash Test Dummies...
This is the latest group of Camera straps to be listed in my etsy shop www.vmjess.etsy.com- I love them all!
New batch of 4 to be used in Gdansk very soon. The angle not very sharp so as to avoid diagonal stains which could form during development. Drying is achieved in 1 hr and sheets will be pressed before the sensitization step.
Now, 10 days later I can say this batch proved to ne rotten and the first two sheets fogged in development. Fortunately I backed up one of the exposures in Gdansk on a sheet of paper from an earlier batch, prepared in Fenruary and still fresh. The second scene was wasted as there was no time for backup. This second scene should be possible to revisit some time, even though it was abroad.

The new route 1, at that moment the most modern and most rapid tram route of Amsterdam.
Freshly painted GVB 711 enables passengers to leave the tram. The tram driver then will walk up and down the empty tramcar in order to check the interior. Once having done all this, one minute later or so, he will move the 711 to the front of the tramstop and bring new batch of passengers cheerfully to Osdorp terminus.

An F-4 from the 82nd Aerial Targets Squadron at Tyndall AFB. The 82nd operates the Department of Defense's only full-scale aerial target program, maintaining an inventory of 50 modified QF-4 Phantom II aircraft for this purpose.
This F-4 Stopped at the ANG 122nd Fighter Wing which operates at Fort Wayne International Airport (Baer Field) FWA.
From Fencecheck.com: www.fencecheck.com The_Final_Mission
While on test duties, QF-4 drones are rarely seen away from their Tyndall and Holloman bases. But the people who fly and maintain the Phantoms are extremely proud of their aircraft, the last operational US tactical fighter from the Vietnam era.
In 2004, 82 ATRS personnel sought to add the QF-4 to the USAF’s Heritage Flight program, to fill a gap in historical coverage between World War Two and Korean War warbirds and modern fighters. Six QF-4Es were repainted in camouflage schemes from the F-4’s operational service, four at Tyndall and two at Holloman. Following USAF approval, they took part in Heritage Flight formations at a few airshows on each coast in 2005. In 2006, the QF-4s received Heritage Flight funding from Air Combat Command – the 2005 flights had been funded from the 53 WEG operating budget! – allowing the QF-4s to appear at approximately 20 shows. As well, a simple QF-4 solo display routine was introduced.
Except for their camouflage, the Heritage Flight QF-4Es are standard “primary flier” drones and are used for normal 82 ATRS operations when not at airshows. As the first six aircraft began to run out of flight hours in 2007, a new batch was painted. These aircraft all wear the same Southeast Asia scheme to simplify maintenance.
While the Heritage Flight QF-4s salute those who served in the 1960s and ‘70s, they are also a reminder why full-scale targets are important. Early in its USAF career, the F-4 was hobbled in air-to-air combat when its AIM-4 Falcon and AIM-7 Sparrow missiles failed to work properly in real engagements over North Vietnam. Today, the QF-4’s final duty is to ensure such failures never happen again.

I chose my favourite mountain group, The Nantlle Ridge near Beddgelert and concentrated my efforts around there climbing to 1700ft onto the ridge each afternoon to be on the top at sunset. Unfortunately the weather turned a bit "nice" on me and I retreated north away from the heat a crowds but not before a few memorable evenings on the hill and images soon to be posted on my website.
Having some scanning problems at the moment but a whole new batch of images is available to view on my site which can be visited from my profile page.
Best to all

Foreign Ministry to recruit a new batch of Foreign Service Officers
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has planned to recruit a new intake of 25 officers to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service in order to meet the human resource requirement of the Ministry and its overseas Missions. Upon a request made by Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama the Public Service Commission had given approval to increase the number of officers to be recruited from 15 to 25.
The Interview Board has already been appointed by the Public Service Commission to conduct the interviews to select successful candidates from among those who have been successful at the Open Competitive examination, conducted in early 2008, by the Department of Examinations.
In 2007, the Ministry recruited a batch of 10 to the Sri Lanka Foreign Service who are currently deployed in various Divisions in the Ministry. With this latest recruitment, the SLFS cadre has been increased by 35 officers since 2007, which marks a 20% of overall increase in the cadre.
Since the assumption of duties as Foreign Minister, Minister Bogollagama has taken a special interest to enhance the professionalism of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service (SLFS) in order to meet the demands and challenges of the present day international relations, and to maintain its high standards of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service.

We have a new batch of kittens in the house, it's our youngest queen Maia, that have three ruddy coloured kittens, two males and one female. They have already become four weeks old and are starting to explore the world.
Maia is a somewhat hysterical mother, with qualities that maybe is functional out in the wild, but is just an annoyance for us. During the first 24 hours she didn't leave the kittens, then she ran to the toilet and back again, for another day of constant nursing. She defends them ferociously and we have to keep her locked away from the other cats otherwise she attacks them. She also wants total control of the kittens and are very rough with them, keeping their whiskers trimmed to a bare stubble and she has continually kept moving them around.
Well, the kittens are healthy and gaining weight and now we are providing them with a nest where they somewhat can escape from their mothers relentless pruning and washing.
