I'm an intern at the Cedar Cultural Center, which is a really cool music venue that's insanely close to Middlebrook. My normal working zone is next to an ominous closet... that has a wall of computer parts stuck to it!!! GAH!!

My system consists of 2 desktops, 1 corpy laptop and one SBS 2003 R2 server. I also use Skype, Oooma a Netgear FVS336G Duel WAN router firewall with IPSEC/SSL VPN. I run all of my work desktops on a domain and all other destops and laptops in the home run in the DMZ so I don't have to worry about the kids contracting worms. My main system runs the 42 inch center display and two 22 inch displays, one on each side of the center 42 inch display as one large desktop. My second system runs the next 2 20 inch displays (one on each side of the center 3 displays) and the video is set up to duplicate the desktop on each display. I chat in S2 with the clients on the far left keyboard and then when they give me their address information I spin around to the corpy which is running on an 18 inch lcd (the blue screen on the far right) and get the client's info off of the duplicated 20 inch lcd sitting next to it. So whatever direction I happen to be looking I can always see if someone is chatting with me in S2. You can't see it in the picture but the room gets so hot that I have an independent air conditioning system in the room to help the main home system keep the tempurature correct. As you can see I also have my leather chair and it's pointing to a 32 inch TV which I usually listen to the stock market news while I work. ;)

When I got back inside, one of the first people I met was Hasan. Hasan was one of the first Lunch 2.0’ers and he’s back!
I forgot the light change so this is past the shake limit of the lens. I should have upped the ISO. Oh well! Also, I’d have preferred to turn this into a BW, but Hasan has already linked this photo so I’m going to leave it as is. Trying to start a new "look" for Lunch 2.0 photography: CHLomo!

Trying to suppress my desire for an iPhone until the next model is released. I've decided to try the Skype thing for awhile. For about $26 TOTAL for the next 5 months, I can call anywhere in the US & Canada and talk for as long as i want. Plus voicemail and a phone number.

Every time my friends see a photo of Jessica and Laura they make a comment about how hot they are. Then I tell them that they’re borderline jailbait…
The shock on their face is always a surprise.
Then I mention that Jessica is the CEO of a startup…
More shock.
Great fun!
(I like Jessica’s expression in this shot.)

Jeremy recently moved from Yahoo! Address Book to Yahoo! Web Messenger. He’s another guy I’ve been trying to get to show up to these things for a while. I think he was too busy writing a book on PHP.
Beats me why. I haven’t written a book on PHP and I’m already legendary! :-D
I cropped a face out of the photo and changed the weight. I tried to save his nametag though. Trying to start a new "look" for Lunch 2.0 photography: CHLomo!
Press and hold the WPS button on the Extender for 5 seconds. The WPS LED on the front should blink.
Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your wireless router, gateway, or access point.
If your router supports the 5 GHz band, just repeat steps 1 and 2 to connect the Extender to the 5 GHz band. more visit:- mywifiext-helpnumber.com/

I swear it said "logo" this morning when I read it, ah well, there is a power symbol in there I mean that! Put a placemat under the modem, stuck a pretty piece of paper on the wall. Played around with 2 lights until I found something that looked half interesting. Kinda plain, still kinda like it.

Mike is a classmate from Caltech. Here is the last thing he said to me: “I can't believe you’ve been telling me to go to one of these Lunch 2.0 things for a year, and now you’re in the fucking Chronicle. Heh. I figured I should go now that it's famous.”
Mike was true to his word.
(You can see he was sitting next to Gabe from Techmeme and all he remembered was Laura and Jessica. Heh!)

I don't know what X-Change is, but I imagine it’s part of their X-RAID system which allows you to build and configure RAID (multi-disk) solutions. This was taped to the back of one of their 4 disk 1-U rackmount servers which would go in a colocation or an office backroom.
Through the luck of the lighting and the angle, this photo came out very nice. After all, rack mounted anything looks sort of ugly and industry, unless you have say…10 rackes of 48. :-) Trying to start a new "look" for Lunch 2.0 photography: CHLomo!
I replaced this broadband router a few years ago and it's been languishing in its box, just taking up space, ever since. It's time to move it on to someone who's actually going to use it.
The UK-spec RangeMax comes in its original box (still with original shrink-wrap), including original packaging and documentation. It is in almost-perfect condition (with no obvious scratches or signs of use other than a little dust) and was working just fine when last used. It comes with:
- Original UK power supply
- Base stand
- Phone cables
- Resource CD version 2.2
- ADSL filter
- Original manuals and paperwork
The Netgear RangeMax Router DG834N currently sell for £49.99 on Amazon
