I met Laura at the last Lunch 2.0 but I forgot her name. I can’t remember names so the easiest thing to do is just take a photo of their nametags. Someone told me that it’s just an excuse to take a breast shot. If I wanted to do that, I’d use my IR D70 so I can peak through the clothes.
I get a lot of people teasing me about my “boob pics.” My personal favorite: “Now I really need a camera.””
This is one of the many irony’s about Lunch 2.0. On one hand Web 2.0 is all about social communities, new media, and networking on the internet. On the other hand, the whole event comes down to physically going somewhere meeting people with nametags under sharing lunch.

Using what I learned from the Netgear photo as well as my lego photo I decided to see if I could make my daughter's MSI Wind float in the air.
Being that I lack any type of photoshop skill the computer would actually have to be suspended for me to do this.
I took some thin white ribbon and tied it around the netbook battery then tied the other end to the extra posts that came with my background kit. From there I continued to pull up the extra slack till I was happy with the angle
The background is a simple bed sheet lit by a 430EX on it's widest setting, on the floor about 1' from the sheet, pointing up in a 45 deg-ish angle to it.
The table used to provide the reflection for the netbook was placed about 5' from the sheet to try to minimize any spill from the background light to the front of the netbook.
For the front I ended up metering the camera for the LCD screen itself and starting at the lowest setting increasing the power on the 580 till it illuminated the keyboard without blowing the LCD too much.
