Macro Mondays : My Daily Routine

HMM to all!!

I firmly believe that religious practices and rituals add powerful dimension of symbol and meaning to one’s life. So, the most significant task in my daily routine is meditating for half an hour in the evening after offering flowers and lighting an oil lamp to Gautama Lord Buddha. The oil lamp represents the light of wisdom that illuminates the darkness and ignorance and flowers are symbolic of the impermanence of life.

I love my pot of tea with breakfast.

I'm used to drinking some tea, all along the day : black tea in the morning, flavoured tea in the afernoon and infusion in the evening : verbena, lime, mint, etc

Sudoku - my morning routine... for last 7-8 years.. and before was crosswords.. since I was 15 years old... absolutely every morning ...

and photography... almost every day :)

my daily routine for Macro Mondays includes chocolate cheerios and milk for breakfast, turns the milk chocolatey! (I found milk is harder to capture than water) HMM!! :))

It turns out I'm my worst enemy

Don't know how to be a friend to me

Don't think I'll every change, yeah

A break down is my daily routine

A fake smile is my accessory

I'm tired of feeling low

And I'm too tired to hurt

An object interrupting my daily routine and rationality. Irritating within the logic of getting on with my life. The figurine has been around for over twenty years (the grandchildren played with it as you can see) and is sitting on top of the kitchen cabinet and watching us, watching over us? I don't know. There is and never was an explanation. It is just there. And I will put it back there. The object belongs there. Interruption is part of life.

I cannot start the day without that first of cup tea,the simple things in life .......everything else can wait, then I can take on the world.

" Thank you ..I don’t tell you enough. I know I don’t say it too often but, THANK YOU. Thank you for being my person. The person that I know I can rely on even if I feel like the world has turned on me. There will never be a day that goes by that I will not be grateful for you. But since you are there 11o% of the time, I don’t mean to but sometimes I take you for granted. Especially the little things you do for me. Like reading to me every night before we go to bed, taking time in your busy schedule to say good morning to me and ask me about my day. You never fail to do it , so it just feels like it’s a part of my daily routine, but I need to remember it’s not. Thank you for always giving everything you got into us. I literary don’t know what I would do without you. Thank you for providing me with a best friend I found in you, my second family. Our endless conversations about everything, our dinners, exploring, shopping, doing all things together , movie nights , our jokes , our laughs ..name it. Thank you for putting things on hold when I need you. Thank you for being ok with who I am and for loving every single facet of me, each layer of this big onion. Thank you for loving every part of me. You have changed me for the better and you are the person that I aspire to be, that is one of the reasons why I love you so much. Thank you for doing things that I like, even if they aren’t things that you particularly like to do. Thank you for always asking me how I feel , not just to make conversation , but because you actually care. Thank you for always protecting me from any harm in your way, no matter what. I feel like I can do anything when we are together. Thank you for always believing in me, even when I do not believe in myself. For always lifting me up, telling me how beautiful I am. Thank you for letting me see all the different sides of you, even the not so good ones. I love them all anyway. Thank you for always being honest with me and telling me if something bothers you instead of keeping it bottled up inside, and teaching me how to do that myself too. Thank you for deciding that I am the person that you put all your effort and energy into. Thank you for all the little things that you do, I will never be able to thank you enough. Most of all, thank you for showing me that real love still exists and for always sticking around when things get hard. Thank you for being the light of my life and for showing me that I am yours too."

P.S : Happy anniversary baby, I love and adore you ..more ♥♥♥

My daily routine, especially on the cold November nights here is to snuggle on the couch with a fire blazing, a blanket, warm sweater and socks, my husband and cat, and a nice warm mug of tea.

Play on the daily activity of pouring a Cup of Tea!

This is a macro of the tea leaf flakes pouring out the cut corner of the (pyramid shaped!) teabag :)

Macro Mondays - (Part of) My Daily Routine

One of my daily routines is putting on my lenses.

Happy Monday everyone :-)

Afternoon tea.

A tiny Coalport teacup from England. My mum and I like to have tea and biscuits (cookies U.S.) in the afternoon.

Although there numerous things I do each day, what I love most is walking through our gardens, in the spring looking for what might be coming up, and always, regardless of season, watching the light and breeze, looking for something that warrants a 'try' with my camera. This macro of a red cutleaf Japanese Maple leaf was taken the other day in one of our back gardens - the effects of autumn are beginning to show as the leaves begin to die. Posted to "Macro Mondays" for this week's theme "My Daily Routine".

Coffee - Food - MacroMondays Theme

Since years I start my day with a coffee...and writing 3 pages. No special subject or a diary, just getting rid of all thoughts. It helps me think straight and sort things out, to get rid of negative thoughts too. As soon as a notebook is filled, I get rid of it too.

Sintra is one of the most beautiful Portuguese towns I know.

Owing to its peculiar micro-climate it is pretty cool in summer, wherefore it used to be the summer resort of choice of the royal family, which dragged with them much of the court.

Sintra offers thus a very peculiar architecture, sometimes grand, sometimes rustic but mostly of a beauty of its own.

Pena Palace, Seteais, Regaleira, Monserrate, the Moors Castle are some of the most famous tourist attractions, but the whole of the historic centre offers marvellous corners of subtle beauty that are (for me) a joy to photograph.

Early December I took a few days off from my daily routines and went to Sintra to photograph it. The weather being pretty bad, the 4 day stay was much shorter than I had imagined, but I managed some pictures I would like to post. I thought this picture appropriate to start this series as it captures the Palace of Sintra, the summer residence of the royal family, with it famous twin gigantic kitchen chimneys that dominate Sintra's skyline and, in spite of the cloudy weather, offers a view all the way up to the Atlantic ocean.

Should you wish to read more about Sintra, you can refer to the Wikipedia link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sintra

World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign focusing on diabetes mellitus and is held on November 14 each year.

“Don't let yourself fall, you gotta pick yourself right up and strive to do better and be better! Think positive. Don't let the Diabetes control you! You control the Diabetes! Be strong because someways might be tough but you are tougher!”

I have been on the borderline since last year and since then I always try to take care of what I eat and watch over my daily routine. I always carry this device with me just in case. This photo is one shot, handheld with two table lamps for lighting. Less than 3" including negative space. For Macro Mondays "EDC"

Macro Mondays: My Daily Routine

Macro Monday - daily routine

I'm so happy to have sunlight in the morning again though I will be bummed this afternoon when it is dark early. My daily routine starts around 6, I get up, exercise and come back to focus on photography and my picture of the day. It is a routine that works for me and I always feel off when I don't get things taken care of first thing in the morning.

Of course, there is either coffee or tea, hot or cold depending on the season. Nothing like sipping a favorite beverage to get the creative juices flowing.

HMM!

All i need to start my engine in the morning: home made cappuccino, topped with love and chocolate...

So, when i'm done pushing the snooze-button, my auto-pilot navigates me straight to the coffee-machine, then i wake up my computer, start up Spotify, check out the new posts on Flickr and log in to the website of Geert De Kockere, a dutch poet who provides me with my daily portion of poetry...

Then i'm ready to start my day.

For this week’s Macro Mondays theme of ‘My Daily Routine’ I have chosen to photograph coffee beans. I suspect like quite a few people, I don’t function well until I’ve had that first ‘hit’ of coffee in a morning. It doesn’t have to be the strongest, but for me coffee in the morning is a must have! Pretty much any sort is acceptable until mid-day, but then its tea, and tea’s an art form!!

For this shot, I have used a single Bowens GM500 light from above, fitted with a 15° snoot and honeycomb grid. This was angled back slightly and partially flagged.

Macro Monday - My Daily Routine

An important part of my daily routine was walking the dog. This is a small section of Bonnie's collar. She had a wide collar made especially for her breed. The photographic challenge was capturing the colours, textures and patterns as Bonnie headed out. She had no time for photography.

Contribution to the Macro Mondays Group for 7 November 2016 where the theme is "My Daily Routine". Shot at a 1:1 ratio, or very near to it as I wasn't using a focusing rail.

Part of my daily routine involves getting dressed as, I would hope, it does for most other group (Flickr?) members.

This item is what my sister and niece bought me for my (significant) birthday last year which I put on each morning. I like things to be, essentially, where I left them so I just reach out and pick them up. Sometimes I might forget something, maybe because of age, which is why they form part of a routine. Routine seems more important to me now than it ever used to...

It's a custom made "bangle" with the inscriptions "Vintage" & "19??"! The set up is deliberate!

Part of my bedtime routine, there is nothing better than a glass of milk and something good to read.
