I get a flickr mail from one my dearest never-met-them people on Flickr, the lovely Daynna,
who lives in Hollywood. And comes up with some very nice subjects, including herself.
Anyway, there is a group called Musically Challenged, and it is Dayna's week to pick the songs,
and group members are suppposed to pick some lyrics out of a song, and match a picture to them.
That is sometimes interpreted loosely, however. So, I figure I will play the game this week, and
go give a listen, and check out the lyrics. And wouldn't you know it: I can relate to none of them.
But, there is a song, and Daynna says, if you do nothing else, watch this video. So I do. And laugh my head off.
I could not match the lyrics, but the word Cowboy appears in the title, and I do own boots, thanks to Kathleen and Ambrose. And I don't have any Rhinestones, but I do have these Rainbow Beads put around my neck last year during Pride Weekend at Bristol, and I know Daynna will appreciate them. And there you go.

Tamara was a musically gifted girl and holder of the Heart Stone. She trained three baby magical animals - Cleo (a unicorn), Sugar (a dragon), and Spike (a panther). In the second season, she got her own zebracorn named Shadowsong.
This Tamara is part of the "Jewel Power Doll Edition." These were the basic dolls that came with their jewel armor and one cloth piece.

This love will open our world
From the dark side we can see a glow of something bright
Oh, there's much more than we see here
Don't burn the day away
Is this not enough?
This blessed sip of life,
Is it not enough?
Staring down at the ground
Oh, then complain and pray for more from above,
You greedy little pig
Yes, there is a math joke in there somewhere. :) When I made this card, the gold cord ended up looking at it is and the first thing that came to mind was "arrow". Hence the "musically inclined". (Arrow? Pointing up? Inclined? Aw, never mind...)

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air.
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly,
Out of the corner of my watering eye.
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night.
Theres no sensation to compare with this;
Suspended animation, a state of bliss.
Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies.
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I.

I'm just a ghost in this house
I'm just a shadow upon these walls
As quietly as a mouse I haunt these halls
I'm just a whisper of smoke
I'm all that's left of two hearts on fire
That once burned out of control
You took my body and soul
I'm just a ghost in this house

Last night was AMAZING musically. The Red Chord are insane live. The crowd, the energy, and they even gave Joe a shout out for being such a great guy. He is building all their road cases for their tour on Ozzfest. If you get a chance to see them at Ozzfest PLEASE DO!
Know I don't look so great here but I had treatment in the morning and was EXHAUSTED.
Also, Joe's photographer debut in my flickr., so obviously photo taken by Joe.

Julz Parker and Leesa Gentz possess a special connection and an
innate understanding of each other musically. Their unique sound
spans many genres from boisterous blues and roots, to
contemporary folk, alt country and power ballads.

Of course, everyone hears what they want to hear in music - we interpret lyrics to fit our own lives, our own stories.. For me, this is a song not of condemnation - but of redemption and ultimately - forgiveness...
In this farewell - there's no blood - there's no alibi
'cause I've drawn regret - from the truth
of a thousand lies
So let mercy come - and wash away
what I've done
I'll face myself - to cross out - what I've become
erase myself - and let go
of what I've done
...
For what I've done - I start again
and whatever pain may come
today this ends
I'm forgiving what I've done

This is Josiah. He is this artistic/musically inclined punk kid I met at the dollar store today as we both shopped the plastic skull section of the store. He is in the process of creating a musically based performance that will show at Skeletones in Grand Rapids on January 17th. it's based on Mayan prophesy, apocalyptic visions and biblical imagery. All in all it sounds flippin' killer. Hope to be there, and if you want someone to shoot your show Josiah, give me a shout xexos45@yahoo.com.

Nat came home from uni today.... his course is now finished for the semester. He spent the last two days without sleep getting his final projects done for his architecture course.
When he came home he was a ghost of his former self.... looking like death warmed up.
So now he's had an hour or two relaxing (playing drums & guitar), a strong cup of coffee, and a home cooked meal. Now he has decided to go down the pub with his friends.
I can't imagine my body & soul recovering like this.... would take me at least a full day to recuperate.

with a couple more in the comments
I can NOT play this guitar; it belongs to my son. I have taken piano lessons but I can't really play much on the piano either so I am a bit musically challenged.
