K-Pop is Western culture, musically and visually, that happens to be made in Korea while J-Pop was originally Japanese music made for Japan to emulate Western music, but progressively became an umbrella term for anything "popular culture" in which otaku interests claim the spotlight, propelled by a market of fewer people buying large rather than the mainstream (who doesn't immediately draw their samurai sword at the sight of a filthy gaijin like some would like to believe) buying their fair share To a global audience, K-Pop is something that can simply be enjoyed (or not) while J-Pop, even for the Asian market, requires some level of interest in Japanese culture to become exposed to, followed by varying levels of knowledge to enjoy (or not) You can also thank this guy for turning K-Pop viral www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0 Since I'm here, a "Japanese Idol Thread" isn't a thread for people who are famous in Japan, it's a thread for the "Japanese Idol" style of performer commonly found employed in the Japanese entertainment industry, historically composed of cute girls doing cute things, derived from and frequented by the idol generals on /jp/, which is a Touhou board that occasionally allows people to dabble in other things pertaining to their otaku interests such as the entertainment industry of the country it sets out to discuss, Japan Have a nice day SUSCRÍBETE A MI CANAL Me encanta la animacion, tengo muchos cortos en mi canal, espero lo disfrutes. Olivia is quite musically gifted. She is caught up in playing a beautiful, romantic song on her Barbie violin.

Olivia's been here since November of 2007. Blanches are another Pullip with the kind of colorful faceup I really like. I love all the pink blushiness with her brown eyemakup, dark red lips, and olive green eyes. She's borrowing a Takara Jenny Victorian Excelina's dress. Since the bonnet that goes with it won't fit her big head, I layered some ribbon, lace, and trims to complete her look.

This love will open our world

From the dark side we can see a glow of something bright

Oh, there's much more than we see here

Don't burn the day away

Is this not enough?

This blessed sip of life,

Is it not enough?

Staring down at the ground

Oh, then complain and pray for more from above,

You greedy little pig

ideomotoric chatroom | Billy Roisz, dieb13, Mario de Vega

Inspired by the idea of the ideo-motor reflex, for the performance ideomotoric chatroom trio Billy Roisz, Mario de Vega and dieb13 build up their work as an eclectic machine, whose basic pattern consists of seemingly automatic, unconscious and random actions and reactions. It goes beyond the difference between concept, composition and improvisation; the entire context of the performance becomes the material. On stage, the three artists interact musically and physically in the room, and visually in an ideomotor feedback loop: three overlapping projections are shown. The screen also makes the internal architecture of this "ideomotoric chatroom" visible for the audience.

I get a flickr mail from one my dearest never-met-them people on Flickr, the lovely Daynna,

who lives in Hollywood. And comes up with some very nice subjects, including herself.

Anyway, there is a group called Musically Challenged, and it is Dayna's week to pick the songs,

and group members are suppposed to pick some lyrics out of a song, and match a picture to them.

That is sometimes interpreted loosely, however. So, I figure I will play the game this week, and

go give a listen, and check out the lyrics. And wouldn't you know it: I can relate to none of them.

But, there is a song, and Daynna says, if you do nothing else, watch this video. So I do. And laugh my head off.

I could not match the lyrics, but the word Cowboy appears in the title, and I do own boots, thanks to Kathleen and Ambrose. And I don't have any Rhinestones, but I do have these Rainbow Beads put around my neck last year during Pride Weekend at Bristol, and I know Daynna will appreciate them. And there you go.

Two weeks in NOLA for the mardi gras 2017

Founded in 1993, the Krewe of Orpheus takes its name from the musically-inclined son of Zeus and Calliope. Founding members included Harry Connick, both the junior and senior.

In New Orleans, the krewe established themselves as a superkrewe with their first parade in 1994, which rolled with 700 riders. They were the first super Krewe to allow both male and female riders.

The Krewe's throws include a number of popular items including emblem beads, stuffed animals, signature beads, light-up Orpheus medallion beads, cups, three different types of doubloons, and 4-foot-long stuffed dragons.

They have a number of notable floats including the Dolly Trolley, the horse-drawn bus that was used in the opening of Hello Dolly with Barbra Streisand, the Smoking Mary which is a six unit float that looks like a steam locomotive, a Trojan horse and the Orpheus Leviathan Float, which is a three unit, 139-foot float, and the first Carnival float to use extensive fiber optic lighting.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Fats Domino wass the honorary grand marshall for 2014. His eldest son, Antoine Domino III, rode in the parade and perform his 85 year old father's music.

In addition to Fats Domino, Quentin Tarantino reigned as the krewe's celebrity monarch.

Eleven-year-old Corey Ryan is described by his family as smart, mischievous, musically talented and great at hockey. On an afternoon drive with his father, Corey was killed when a drunk driver struck the vehicle.

Following the accident, Corey’s mother pleaded for something to be done about impaired driving. In 1984, Action Sudbury was founded, in part by Corey’s family, and by Sudbury, Ontario’s then-Mayor Peter Wong. The group’s goal: eliminate tragedies caused by impaired drivers in the area.

Action Sudbury, staffed completely by volunteers, has launched many initiatives to promote its message. Operation Lookout is a community watch program that encourages citizens to report impaired driving to the local police. These calls are ranked as a #1 priority by law enforcement and a vehicle descriptor is broadcast to all patrol officers. “Impaired driving is a community concern so it needs a community solution,” said Action Sudbury Chair Ron Roy.

Action Sudbury has funded the start-up of local high school chapters called Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID). A yearly province-wide seminar is held where all chapters come together in hopes of further spreading their message. Students who go above and beyond promoting Action Sudbury’s mission are given the chance to win one of five, annual $500 bursaries.

Action Sudbury’s Annual Red Ribbon Campaign kicks off the last Friday of November. The community sports red ribbons on the aerials of vehicles as a remembrance of those lost to impaired driving and a reminder not to drink and drive during the holidays. Action Sudbury used its one by one® grant to purchase black coffee mugs with red spoons & white logo for the occasion. The mugs doubled as a holder for the event’s handouts. Red ribbons were tied to the mug handles to complement the campaign. “Action Sudbury and the attendees of the Red Ribbon Campaign appreciate what 4imprint® is doing,” Roy said.

Try to make her after your image and you will fail miserably.

She walks her own path- It is dimly lit and rather narrow, but she is trusting the Lord will lead her by the hand day by day... He is the one that set her eyes to the sky.

One of the most musically accomplished, critically acclaimed, and commercially popular funk bands of the 1970s, Earth, Wind & Fire continues to use funk as their foundation, but also incorporates jazz, smooth soul, gospel, R&B, pop, rock, blues, folk, and disco into their repertoire. This six-time Grammy Award winning group stayed on the charts for years with hits like “Shining Star,” “Sing a Song,” “September,” “Boogie Wonderland,” and “After the Love Has Gone.”

Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith bring ‘2 Friends’ Tour to Omaha, Nebraska on February 14th, 2011.

Multi-platinum recording artists Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith have announced plans for a multi-city U.S. tour that will reunite these two iconic singer/songwriters for the first time on the road together (for a non-holiday tour) in more than two decades. Kicking off in early February, the “2 Friends” tour is slated to hit approximately 20 cities across the country, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Omaha, Minneapolis and Columbus (Ohio), among others.

Undoubtedly a landmark experience for music fans, the tour showcases two of Christian music’s most recognized and beloved artists who have, together, won nine GRAMMY® Awards and sold more than 47 million albums. The two first toured together in 1982 on Grant’s Age to Age Tour. Her Age to Age album was exploding up the Christian music charts, thanks to hits like “El Shaddai” and “Sing Your Praise To The Lord.” Smith toured as Grant’s keyboard player and opening act, supporting his debut release, Project, which generated instant classics like “Great Is The Lord” and “Friends.” They toured together on and off through the rest of that decade, culminating in the record-setting “Lead Me On” tour. They have continued to collaborate together musically over the years.

365 - The 2010 Edition * November 19, 2010

For the Musically Challenged group... Another example where the lyrics just don't seem to matter very much - where we hear what we wanna hear.. If you listen to the lyrics, obviously this is written from the point of view of a woman - but it doesn't take much effort to imagine that she is speaking to me.. She is clearly speaking to a man... Besides - it's just such a damn cool song.. slow and jazzy...

Glory Box - by Portishead

I'm so tired of playing

Playing with this bow and arrow

Gonna give my heart away

Leave it to the other girls to play

For I've been a temptress too long

Just...

Give me a reason to love you

Give me a reason to be a woman

I just wanna be a woman

From this time, unchained

We're all looking at a different picture

Through this new frame of mind

A thousand flowers could bloom

Move over and give us some room

Give me a reason to love you

Give me a reason to be a woman

I just wanna be a woman

So don't you stop being a man

Just take a little look from our side when you can

Sow a little tenderness

No matter if you cry

Give me a reason to love you

Give me a reason to be ee, a woman

Its all I wanna be is all woman

For this is the beginning of forever and ever

It's time to move over...
