An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard. Civil drones are used in aerial cinematography and photography applications. Today's professional drones are very powerful, they can fly at 80 km/h, at the same time, they can feature big cameras on board, such as: Panasonic GH4, Canon 5D, but also Red Dragon or Arri Alexa. The drone ability to fly is given by the multi-rotor system and its stabilization is calculated by very sophisticated flight controller. Professional drone propellers are able to turn up to 10000 rpm, for the comparison: this speed is twice as big as a string trimmer's one! But, the propellers are the carbon blades ! So, it's necessary to "Handle with Care" every single drone.
This capture is a rotor / propeller coming from DJI S 900 drone.

This photo totally is what it looks like. I am chasing the ferry out over the puget sound. I was getting a few shots from the light house and I see the the MV Kittitas leaving dock and plowing through the water far from shore.
I wondered if I was fast enough to catch up with it. Stay tuned! It's a sequence in my video coming up!
UPDATE: just posted my video of me following this ferry boat from the air on Flickr! Check it out here if you have time flic.kr/p/qTq29x

Sunset in black and white, shot at Jeløya in Norway from a multicopter.
This was shot on a windy day, so I was a little bit careful with the copter. The image is shot 90 meters above my head.
