This multipurpose building was adjoined at the rear northeast corner of the main house. Slightly out of view to the left, between the house and building was an outdoor Summer Kitchen. The building itself served triple duty. On the left side is the Smoke House. The upper right was the Wash House and the lower right basement was the Dairy. The steps down to the Dairy are in the center area of the building.
UPDATE: Prior to my visit in Dec 2011, the Marbold Association had been working on the house and out buildings but did not own the property. In March 2012, a little over a year after I happened upon the historic farm, they managed to purchase the property and made the final payment in Sep 2014. They have jumped the first hurdle but have a long way to go as the house and buildings still need much repair.
