I've never done a "multiple personality" shot before, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Not pictured: Damian the Computer Nerd and, thankfully, Damian the Shower Hog.
You'll notice that I'm wearing a Livestrong bracelet (I rarely take it off). My mother is a cancer survivor and I have friends with family members that are fighting for their lives. If you have anything at all to give, please donate to my friend's Ride to Conquer Cancer cause. Every little bit helps.

The retouched cross-view image shows in 3D the location of partial reflections of a ceiling light in spectacle lenses. Whether the images are above or below the table depends in the curvature if the partially reflecting lens surfaces. The two reflections in this case are above the lenses. If you have never done cross-view be patient. Look at the two images and cross your eyes until you see three blurred square images in a line. Pay attention to the square in the centre and wait. Ten or twenty seconds might be need at first. One you are good at this it takes no time at all. Give your brain time to refocus your eyes so that it pops into sharp 3D. Be sure to use both eyes and wait for your brain to catch on. Notice that the two lenses are not quite the same. The images float at slightly different heights on the left and the right.

I have multiple myeloma and I am on my 4th chemo treatment. Weekly I take 13 Cyclophosphamide (chemo) pills and 10 dexamethasone (steroid) pills in addition to in-hospital Velcade chemo injections.
This is the 21st week I have received treatment so the pills are shaped into a 21.

March has been proclaimed Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MRDD) Month and Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month by Carroll County Commissioners.
Commissioners Larry Garner, Doyle Hawk and Thomas Wheaton signed the proclamation declaring March 2009 as MRDD Month. The Carroll Hills Workshop and School is Carroll County’s program which serves infants, pre-schoolers, school age students and adults who have mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. The Carroll Hills program has adopted the theme “Just Like You” for its month-long celebration.
Ed Hale, a county resident stricken with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), presented a proclamation to commissioners declaring March as Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. MS is a chronic often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system affecting young to middle-aged adults. Most people are diagnosed with MS between the ages of 20-50.
To the Editor:
I live in Carrollton and I am raising awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. No one has chosen to live with MS, it has chosen us and we do choose to fight it. I am asking you to join me in the fight against MS during MS Awareness Month and throughout the year to make sure the voices of everyone connected to MS are being heard.
On March 2, I took the initiative to attend the Carroll County Commissioners meeting and made them aware of this. In return, they have chosen to accept the proclamation I constructed and recognized Carroll County, being one of the 88 counties, that March is MS Awareness Month in the state of Ohio as signed into law by former Governor Robert Taft March 2, 2006.
Our bodies are in constant motion, moving information from the brain to the body. MS stops people from moving by attacking the myelin that protects normal nerve tissue. The damage keeps people from moving smoothly, both inside and out. Many have trouble imagining what their lives would be without the ability to move, but I know the effects of MS and I have MS.
If you have multiple sclerosis, if you know someone who has MS, or if you want to help the 18,000 Ohioans who battle the disease every day, I ask for your help in raising awareness. We fight MS because this is one battle we can and should win. We fight MS right now so that future generations won’t have to. If you know someone who has MS, call them on the phone or just stop in for a visit to see how they are doing and show your support. To borrow a famous company slogan from AT&T “Reach out and touch someone.” You may just make a difference in their life.
Information on MS and awareness events can be located at the National Multiple Sclerosis, Ohio Chapter, website at www.nationalmssociety.org/chapters/OH.

Park Avenue resides in a stretch within the Manhattan street grid between Third and Fifth Avenue. In fact, originally Park Avenue was known as Fourth Avenue. Along this road in the 1830s used to be a rail line that cut through Murray Hill (a neighbor that we visit at length in our Lower Midtown walk). To beautify a stretch along this rail line, a green space was created between East 34th Street and 40th Street. This six-block stretch of road parallel to the rail was aptly named “Park Avenue” in 1860. The street has obviously extended on a few formal occasions. It currently begins around East 23rd Street (near Madison Square Park) and extends as far north as Harlem (up to East 135th).
Depending at what time of the year you are walking along Park Avenue, you will notice that the medians are always well decorated. During summer, begonias are often blooming here and during winter, a Christmas tree is planted. In 1945, the first year the Christmas tree was placed in the median; it was supposedly decorated in colored lights which caused multiple accidents based upon drivers who confused the colors with the traffic lights. Since then, only white lights have been used.

Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) Chief Executive Officer Eric Green outlined the port’s growth opportunities and plans for the future during today’s sold-out State of the Port address. Hosted by the Propeller Club of the United States – Port of Jacksonville, the event provided updates on JAXPORT’s major projects, business growth, and supply chain trends impacting Northeast Florida’s maritime industry to a crowd of nearly 400 transportation and logistics professionals.
“The solution to the nation’s port congestion problem—is right here in this room,” Green told attendees. “As the industry looks to combat everything from truck capacity issues to labor and equipment challenges, protecting the supply chain is a global priority. That’s where Jacksonville’s modern deepwater seaport comes in.”
During his keynote address, Green announced that JAXPORT’s single biggest growth initiative, deepening the Jacksonville shipping channel to 47 feet, is on track to be completed through JAXPORT’s Blount Island Marine Terminal as early as May 2022. The project includes the construction of a turning basin to allow larger ships to turn at Blount Island berths.
In coordination with deepening, more than $100 million in berth enhancements will be complete this summer to enable the SSA Jacksonville Container Terminal at Blount Island to simultaneously accommodate two post-Panamax ships. By the end of 2022, Blount Island terminal operator SSA Atlantic will welcome three new eco-friendly container cranes and complete the first 20 acres of a modernization project to enable the facility to accommodate more containers.
At the Dames Point Marine Terminal, Ceres Terminals has committed $15 million in private investment in cargo handling equipment and systems. Investments continue at the Talleyrand Marine Terminal, where the port is working on expanding its footprint and capabilities.
“Under Eric’s leadership as CEO, JAXPORT has attracted more than a billion dollars in investment over the last five years, including multiple public-private partnerships,” said JAXPORT Board Chair Wendy Hamilton. “These investments provide a modern deepwater seaport that will continue to provide supply chain solutions for the nation and bring new jobs and business opportunity to our community.”
“In our business, we deal through partnerships, and JAXPORT for us has been an amazing partnership,” said Southeast Toyota Distributors Group Vice President Casey Gunnell. “They are a business-forward organization that’s looking to not only support us but help us grow in this community.”
To build on the port’s position as one of the nation’s top vehicle-handling ports, JAXPORT is expanding a primary Ro/Ro (rolling cargo) berth at Blount Island to dock two vessels from a single berth. The $36 million project will take about 24 months to complete.
In lockstep with growth strategies outlined in its strategic master plan, JAXPORT is also exploring options to build its breakbulk capacity. “Some ports have shifted away from breakbulk; we are embracing it,” Green said.
Mary Baer, anchor of Jacksonville television station WJXT-TV, moderated a “Why Jacksonville” panel discussion featuring JAXUSA Partnership President Aundra Wallace and leaders from global companies who have grown their businesses in and around JAXPORT.
Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis visited JAXPORT to announce that Singapore-based ocean carrier Sea Lead has selected Jacksonville as a port of call on its first-ever US East Coast service. Jacksonville is the last port of call on the rotation connecting Jacksonville to three ports in China and one in South Korea. This new service is an expansion of Sea Lead’s U.S. West Coast operations and showcases the advantages JAXPORT’s uncongested berths and efficiency offers worldwide ocean carriers.
In fiscal year 2021, a record-setting 1.4 million containers moved through JAXPORT, maintaining its position as Florida’s largest container port and one of the top 10 container ports in the nation. JAXPORT is also one of the nation’s top vehicle-handling ports, moving more than 616,000 vehicles last year.

I've posted an image of this one before, perhaps a slightly better one, from the opposite viewpoint, see below. Both images are from much the same era, this one certainly the older of the two as the pumps are of an older style, showing a pre-war forecourt selling a variety of brands. Although the building is still there in the present day, it looks quite different now, all the timber framed aspects have gone, and the upper half of the building may even have been removed, certainly obscured. It was believed to have been a Mobil site in the 1970s, but not much more than that is known. When the site sto[ped selling petrol is unclear, the earliest Streetview shows that even by then Cole Hire had taken over the site to hire out cars and vans, they are still there in the present day.

The THEMIS VIS camera contains 5 filters. The data from different filters can be combined in multiple ways to create a false color image. These false color images may reveal subtle variations of the surface not easily identified in a single band image. Today's false color image shows part of Dawes Crater. Dawes Crater is located in Terra Sabaea and is 185 km (115 miles) in diameter.
