There are at least 3 homogenous arcs in this shot. I love the quieter moments in the display as well, especially when there are multiple forms. Taken at 2308 UTC, 24mm lens, f2.8, ISO 1600, 15 second exposure.
Just playing with one of the new LEGO Captain Jack Sparrow minifigs.
Just the best bit in any of the films so far is this trippy bit with the multiple Jack Sparrows and the ship and all the weird pebble crabs. Great concept, highly creative and so well executed. Just brilliant I thought.
Shot with a single minifig.
I manage to get something wrong every time I take the Bronica out. On this occasion it was forgetting that the multiple exposure lever was up (because I'd been using the Polaroid back previously).
Still, it kinda worked.
Ordered by Network SouthEast and later Chiltern Railways in the late 1990's to replace the ageing Class 115's, the Class 168 'Clubman' units are now the power behind the Great Central Railway's Multiple Unit fleet. At London Marylebone, a 2nd and 3rd generation set of Class 168's with 168218 and 168110 are seen side by side in preparation for their next duties.
The 2nd Generation stock on the right was designed in likeness to the highly successful Class 170 'Turbostar' stock whilst the 3rd Generation stock on the left shares its design with the Class 171's and 172's used by Southern and London Overground.
Last week I visited a small section of Inchicore and the one thing that immediately stood out was the amount of litter and derelict or badly maintained sites.
Inchicore is 5 kilometres west of the city centre, south of the River Liffey, west of Kilmainham, north of Drimnagh and east of Ballyfermot, most of Inchicore is in the Dublin 8 postal district; parts of the area extend into Dublin 10 and Dublin 12.
Inchicore is accessed by multiple roads and served by a range of Dublin Bus services. It is also served by the Luas tram system, which runs along a permanent way, and serves the area from Blackhorse to Suir Bridge.
Inchicore is passed on its southern edge by the Grand Canal, developed by economic progressives of the day and that was, at its peak, the major passenger and commercial trading route through central Ireland, running through the lush productive farmlands and peat bogs of the Irish midlands. While it carried significant traffic in the great boom of the eighteenth century, it is now a recreational waterway.
Inchicore's centre, at the junction of Emmet Road and Tyrconnell Road, retains a village atmosphere. The area includes a variety of local stores including a butcher/deli, hardware, ethnic stores, and some mid-size supermarkets. The village is home to a number of pubs, including the ancient Black Lion Inn, and several restaurants and take-aways including an Italian Restaurant called O'Liva.
Early learning childcare centre springs up as a comfort resort to future-forward parents. A popular one in the capital city is certainly Bindu Batra’s Sparkle Minds. Such centres are dedicated to introducing children to an authentic learning experience that not just nurtures the young minds but works towards increasing a child’s fondness for lifetime learning.

Ran into a guy on the Marietta Square today who told me that his New Year’s resolution was to “take care of number one,” as he pointed to himself. I replied that I had multiple personalities and would not know which one to choose. He just shook his head and walked away from me … and my other personalities.
Since beginning classes in August, 80 first year medical students at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine have been training as emergency medical technicians, working shifts on North Shore-LIJ ambulances and responding to 911 calls. Their training culminated recently in a Multiple Casualty Incident (MCI) conducted at the FDNY Training Center at Randall’s Island. Students were expected to provide emergency care during several different emergency exercises, which were all followed by full debriefing.
The MCI day was coordinated by the Fire Department of the City of New York at the department’s Training Academy on Randall’s Island, where more than 2,000 fire fighters and EMS personnel are trained each year.

How I took three shots on the same frame I will never know, perhaps the radiation got to me. Anyway, this is me, on Sizewell beach.

Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees. Jays lost.
Playing around with a tripod and a few different shots of Gemma and I. It looks a bit rough. I either need a new, more solid tripod or else a way to ensure the camera doesn't move.
At the end of the Princeton-Harvard football game (Princeton won 30-24!). All former band conductors were invited down to simultaneously conduct the band.
