The newest member of the family: Tig! Recently adopted from a fine, hard-working local rescue agency. To meet the challenge I de-saturated everything in the photo except the tongue and eyes.

2 Purple Blue anemones flanking a 1 candy pink Ranunculus bloom.

Another colour combination that works well for me.

I love Ranunculus and Anemones, the multi-layered blooms opened beautifully, not always evident, their stems are extremely delicate and do tend to just collapse before the bud can open into a gorgeous voluptuous bloom...

And a blouse Peony with bells.

Layered, sweet coloured beauties.

With love to you and thank you for the good wishes, M, (* _ *)

Yesterday, my neighbor dropped off a dozen free range eggs from her chickens. She rang the doorbell, left them on the porch, and called to say she’d left us a gift. I simply love all the different colours and sizes of these eggs. They don’t get fresher than this.

Just a simple little thing that made my day.

Yes, it is still Summer! And Asters are almost the latest flowers in the garden here, still some colour though, despite the weather.

The most popular asters are Monte Casino and the New England aster.

Asters range in colours of white, red, pink, purple, lavender and blue.

Like the sunflower, the Aster flower is actually a collection of very tiny tubular flowers, which are grouped together in a central disk and surrounded by a “ray” of flowers or petals.

Asters are one of the easiest garden perennials to cultivate.

Have a wonderful day, and thank you for your time and comments, M, (*_*)

Rather annoyingly, the big concrete pipes I'd intended to use for the test had just been sunk below ground, so I had to resort to this light polluted underpass. So it goes.

"Photography is a craft that is acquired over many years!"

And the camera is only the tool!

When not 'dictated' by a client, I take images that come out of my brain, the birth of the idea, the development of it, my vision and the creation, my enjoyment and the challenge, the hype and the anticipation, the struggle and disappointment of the failures, the gathering of your courage to try again... the stamina, the madness some love to call passion?

The playing with light, to me, the ultimate high, I don't need anything else. Once the image is there, I'm content, and if it 'inspires' others, releases an emotion, that's wonderful!

And I've seen how my photos have 'inspired' many!

I'm not stupid to think that everybody is going to like, let alone understand my image, but I can easily live with that, because I do not have that expectation!

I, in the first place, have to be happy with it, the quality, the composition, EVERYTHING, it has to be immaculate, I have to stand by it 100% or the outside world will NEVER see it!

That goes for my pro AND my free work (what you see here).

I wouldn't have it any other way.

I hope that you enjoyed my 'rave'?

Take care, all the best and above all... enjoy your photography.

If the day comes I don't enjoy it anymore... I'll GIVE AWAY all my gear (it's a lot, gathered over the years, please don't hold your breath, heeeee), M, (*_*)

MMMMMMM, irresistible... euhhh to be photographed... and then (of course) savoured...

Macaron is a sweet meringue-based confectionary made with egg whites, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond powder or ground almond and food colouring.

The French macaron is commonly filled with ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two cookies.

Its name is derived from the Italian word maccarone or maccherone.

Not to be confused with the English MACAROONS!!!

These here are the fancy French kind, not the rustic, chewy, coco-nutty variety.

The confectionery is characterised by its smooth, domed top, ruffled circumference (referred to as the "foot"), and flat base.

It is mildly moist and easily melts in the mouth.

Macarons can be found in a wide variety of flavours that range from the traditional (raspberry, chocolate, caramel) to the new (marmite, matcha).

The fillings can range from jams to ganache to butter.

Lead a sweet life!

Thank you, M, (~ _ *)

Pashmina is a fine type of Kashmiri wool. The textiles made from it were first woven in Kashmir.

The name comes from Persian: pašmina, meaning "made from wool" and literally translates to "Soft Gold" in Kashmiri.

Pashmina came to be known as 'cashmere' in the West because Europeans first encountered this fibre in Kashmir.

The wool comes from four distinct breeds of the Cashmere goat; namely the Changthangi or Kashmir Pashmina goat from the Changthang Plateau in Kashmir region, the Malra from Kargil area in Kashmir region, the Chegu from Himachal Pradesh in northern India, and Chyangara or Nepalese Pashmina goat from Nepal.

These shawls are hand spun, and woven in Kashmir and Nepal, and made from fine cashmere fibre.

Here a cheaper version, machine-woven.

Have a colourful day, M, (*_*)

Post Knott is a viewpoint above the town of Bowness in the Lake District, overlooking Lake Windermere. I've been there a couple of times it's no great bother to get there, takes about 5 mins walking from Bowness. Yet somehow I had a heck of a time getting here on this occasion. Serves m right for trying to be a smartarse and not take the OS map. I decided to take a different route, and on the map, it looked like there was a path. But part of the path was obscured by the letter W where it says 'Bowness'. Turns out there is no path. So I ended up taking a ridiculous detour, wandering about in what later turned out to be a spiralling route. I'm putting it down to electromagnetism from the large amount of iron in the rocks screwing with my sense of direction. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Just goes to prove the old adage 'The map is not the territory'.

I used recycled pencils for this image as well as a recycled piece of glass bauble for the eye.

Then 'played' with each image in photoshop, assembled the lot, this is the result...

If I recall correctly, this was taken at the Rising Sun Countryside Park, in the company of Mr R McAvoy.

I know it's early but Niqui is doing a big Christmas project for my mum, which involves a lot of intricate embroidery. This is a small part of a carousel horse and will form part of the larger picture of a huge and colourful carousel to be used as part of my mums Christmas decorations.

A Slinky is a toy pre-compressed helical spring invented by Richard James.

It can perform a number of tricks, including travelling down a flight of steps end-over-end as it stretches and re-forms itself with the aid of gravity and its own momentum.

I kept seeing new angles, I had such fun with them. LOL

More great fun from Studio Indigo.

Love them or hate them, Parrot Tulips are Spring's grand (bulb) showcase, big and beautiful, they have flamboyant flowers with streaks, ruffles and frayed edges and all the colours of the rainbow.

Close-up portrait. Most unusual, these 'red' Rococo Parrot Tulips, flowers with twisted, irregularly fringed and curved petals. They are weird even a little 'alien'?

Are they 'monstrous beauty or beautiful monster'
