These French wooden bobbins are tiny at only 1½" long. They date from the 1930s and still have plenty of silk thread on them. They're lying on top of some hand torn fabric ribbon and in the background is one mother-of-pearl end of a Victorian sewing spool.
For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, Multicolor.

Just some more fun with pencils/props and lights in the studio, always the same... one idea sparks off another... I love being a creative, it is the spice of (my) life.
I cannot imagine 'not' having it...
A series of ‘loose’ subjects.
It can be anything, just seeing different scenes that attracted my attention.
AND it is colourful?
I wish you all a very good day and thanks for all your kind words, time, comments and likes.
Very much appreciated. Magda, (*_*)

This piece of art is called "Ett nytt perspektiv" (in english "A new perspective") and is made by artist Iryna Hauska.
It can be seen in Ängelsberg sculpture park.
Picked this morning and photographed in the shed with natural light through a small window. I positioned a blue recycling box behind these tiny tomatoes to offer a strong colour contrast. At f/36 the background was too sharp. To to soften the background, I moved the blue box away from the tomatoes during the exposure. Happy Macro Mondays!
I shot this small Oak tree in a nearby village, it had been covered in knitted wool and crochet, or 'Yarn-Bombed', by local villagers.

Flowerworks that look like fireworks?
Yes, my burning passion for flowers, the capturing of their beauty in a thousand different ways, a wonderful challenge... everyday!
There are people who 'talk' to the flowers and plants?
Me, I just 'listen' to them, I open the wrapping, they fall open on the table and tell me.
The closer I looked the more they invited me in, to listen , yet keeping the center of the flower still very secret...
They emerged from the dark.
Have a great day and thank you for your visit and comment, M, (*_*)

It is always attractive to see clothes hanging in all those fresh colours.
Uplifting, I find it irresistible, I need to keep that memory, LOL.
Again from all over the world.

Macro Mondays theme: Monday, Aug 20th is Multicolour with at least three different colours visible.
Caught this Bee on the Celosia this morning - figured I had at least three colours in this.
Happy Macro Monday to all ...
Port Hope, ON
Urban colour at its finest. We were on a daylong road trip and were driving through Port Hope, a lovely small city east of Toronto, when I spotted this beautiful tree. Didn't even have to get out of the car, just put down my window and was able to capture this tree in all its fall glory. Autumn is absolutely my favourite season. (I just wish the freezing cold winter wasn't right on its heels! lol)
ALSTROEMERIA
Most of you know by now how I love 'playing' with light, a never ending beautiful challenge, food for my creative soul, which I so desperately need at the moment...
Each flower or object, most definitely people, seem to have a different 'personality' which I'm trying to capture.
Alstroemeria, the genus named after the Swedish baron Alströmer who brought them back from a trip to South America in 1753.
Also called the Peruvian Lily or Inca Lily, is a South American genus of about 50 species of flowering plants.
The flower, which resembles a miniature lily, is very popular for bouquets and flower arrangements in the commercial cut flower trade.
They have a vase life of about two weeks.
Freesia is a genus of 14-16 species of flowering plants in the family Iridaceae, native to Africa. Of the 14 species, 12 are native to Cape Province, South Africa, the remaining two to tropical Africa, one species extending north of the equator to Sudan.
both visual and fragrant pleasure...
The genus was named in honour of Friedrich Heinrich Theodor Freese (1795-1876), a German physician.
They are herbaceous plants which grow from a corm 1-2.5 cm diameter, which sends up a tuft of narrow leaves 10-30 cm long, and a sparsely branched stem 10-40 cm tall bearing a few leaves and a loose one-sided spike of fragrant narrowly funnel-shaped flowers.
Have a lovely day, M, (*_*)

Macro Mondays theme: Multicolour (multicolor)
This is a colourful garden windmill lit up with a torch late last night and spinning to produce intentional movement. It's a bit of a metaphor for our lives at the moment following on from A level results day last Thursday! HMM...
Some flowers (but not too many ;) spotted in a corner of that garden in the previous shot...
Still testing the phone cameras in close-up mode, but for this i had to get up from the armchair and walk to the other end to get close :)
Looking Close On Friday-Multicoloured
These are my favourite candies. They are a lot like Jujubes, Gluten-Free and Stevia sweetened. They have the most unusual flavours: Limoncello, Mandarino, Limetta, Blackberry, and Amarena Cherry and are Made With fibre-rich Acacia Gum for delightful chewiness. The Blackberry (in the Purple wrapper) is my favourite!

Just some fun with pencils/props and lights in the studio, always the same... one idea sparks off another...

I cannot imagine 'not' having it...
I used recycled pencils for this image.
I cannot resist the, spotted a funky rubber to go with them, made the compositions in my head, right there!
So colourful and attractive?
The child in me. I still LOVE to write in pencil, it brings out my best handwriting!
Hope this makes you smile and have a wonderful day and thank you, as always, for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

Created for Down Under Challenge No. 1206, starting with Gillian Everett's challenge image. I didn't have a clue what to do with this image, so I just kinda blindly went wild and had some fun with it.

Some very joyous colours, taken at a Craft market in Concarneau, Southern Brittany in France.
Not spinning a yarn here, lololol
