The Rolling Stones – Unzipped is the first ever international exhibition about the world-famous rock band.
More than 400 original objects from the band's personal archive provide an impressive glimpse behind the scenes of the Stones. Not only are instruments and stage designs on display, but also rare audio fragments and video material, personal diaries, iconic costumes, poster material, album covers and even their studio, their modest residence in Edith Grove in London and the spectacular Dolby surround experience of their concert from 2016 in Cuba.
I used a round infinity mirror and a zoom lens on a slow shutter (1/4 of a second). As you click the shutter button zoom to the lens towards, or away from the mirror.

Pomegranates had a symbolic meaning for many cultures in the ancient world. They represented love, birth/rebirth, prosperity and abundance, among other things. I hope 2022 brings beautiful abundance to all my Flickr friends. Happy New Year!

I used recycled pencils for this image.
I cannot resist the, spotted a funky rubber to go with them, made the compositions in my head, right there!

The child in me. I still LOVE to write in pencil, it brings out my best handwriting!

Hey everyone, I am still here :-). Life has been so busy at the moment and just not getting much photography in like I use to but hopefully will get back out with the camera soon, getting the urge to get back out with the camera again.
Anyway, this is a photo from few years back at Open House London, one of my favourite photography events of the year. I haven't been to one for the last couple of years due to living up in Yorkshire now so it isn't always easy to get down to the Capital for this event. I wasn't originally able to go this year but I maybe able to come down on the Saturday and get round a few buildings.
Any of my fellow photography friends going to Open House? If so which buildings you going to? Be interesting to see which ones you are looking forward to.

I really liked this tray but it is now in the OUT tray, one side cracked off, leaving a sharp edge. Ancient melamine.

Love them or hate them, Parrot Tulips are Spring's grand (bulb) showcase, big and beautiful, they have flamboyant flowers with streaks, ruffles and frayed edges and all the colours of the rainbow.
Close-up portrait. Most unusual, these 'red' Rococo Parrot Tulips, flowers with twisted, irregularly fringed and curved petals. They are weird even a little 'alien'?
Are they 'monstrous beauty or beautiful monster'

Here's one for anyone whose ambitions have been thwarted. This little piece of glass tried hard to be a marble, but didn't quite make it. :)
Antique marble fragments like this one are not often seen. They were formed from the end of a glass cane during the process of creating handmade marbles in the German glass factories of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They weren't sold, because they were considered rejects, and are now only found as archaeological specimens 'dug up' at the sites of the factories. I find this little piece of history fascinating. Apparently, there are some enthusiasts who only collect fragments like this. I've always had a soft spot for waifs and strays.
