Un animal plus que fabuleux: la licorne de glace ! Suite à un sortilège le pauvre animal fut tué par une fée sucrée qui céda le trophé au tavernier
Each day I gaze longingly at the Turner-esque sunsets, wishing to be somewhere other than driving home from work, so Sat past I walked to the big dam at Mulligans to see if the sky would put on a show. Not as dramatic as some other evenings lately, I was happy with this result.
So, the other night I only got one shot off at Rainier before I had to go. I just knew I could do better, so I went back tonight...um...last night. It's 4 AM and I drove home after a great night shooting with brilliant photographers and friends.
So, THIS was my idea of the perfect night. Perfect place. Perfect timing, Perfect company.

After fighting his way through the Moyry Pass in 1600, Lord Mountjoy decided to secure the area, and the castle was built in less than a month the following year. It stands on a rock outcrop on the eastern slopes of Slievenabolea overlooking the pass and consists of the ruins of a three-storey tower and surrounding stone bawn. The castle contains a number of musket loops and a 'machicolation' over the doorway, from which objects could have been thrown on an attacker. In 1611 it was garrisoned by 12 men under the command of Captain Anthony Smith and a number of settlers who had been established in the surrounding area.

Mulligans Flat is a wildlife sanctuary that lies on the northern edge of Canberra, Australia’s national capital. Due to the suburban lights to the south, west and east, the sanctuary’s pond needs to be shot at night with a northerly aspect, making it somewhat challenging to get great Milky Way images. Even facing north, the lights of Goulburn, a hundred kilometres away, create a distinct glow on the horizon.
For this image I chose to create a vertorama, stitching together several landscape images to create this portrait image.
