Walking through Little Wittenham Wood with Damain Ward we came across a wonderful collection of trees on the edge of a clearing where there had been some forestry work. It is a managed wood, so there are always piles of logs kicking around. The trouble was the head high deer fence that run round them. So lifting the tripod up and thankfull for my new wireless shutter release I grabbed some frames and this is the result of two of them stitched together. I liked the way the main tree seemed to be moving into the clearing to see what had been done, with a hint of sadness.
As the day winds down the people keep moving right along. The sunset looking from downtown Kansas City, Missouri to the West into the great state of Kansas.

A quick 10K foot cloud deck floated by at the right time this morning, a little late for the rising sun to light from under, but perfectly timed to add some spice to an otherwise blue sky.

Life's got pretty damn hectic recently which means I've been away from my beloved photoshop for too long. I'm making my way through mountains of wedding editing (which of course I love) but it means I haven't had much time to be creative. I sat down to edit this image last night from NYC, and I just couldn't make it work. I had so many ideas for the outcome and the way I wanted to see it, but everything I did just did. not. work. In the end I decided to keep it simple and use no photoshop for a change.
So, Here's a pretty raw image from a shoot in New York that was meant to turn out differently... but it didn't and that's ok.

Moving to America
~~~~~
This 1953 Fageol Twin Coach Model FV-2260 moving van would make such a great RV! I illuminated the scene with a handheld flashlight while the camera's shutter was open during this long exposure night photo. I felt sheer joy while enjoying a beautiful cool evening in the mountains with friend photographing. This was part of a Notorious RGB 1165-mile photography safari with Mike Cooper, George Loo, and George the monkey.
Starting to sort through things I don't need (and have never really needed). Boxing up. Precious items wrapped in many bubbles of air, each one with a hope for safe journey.
Moving on down the main at North Grandview on the CPKC Pittsburg Sub is the Kansas City Southern Railway "Southern Belle" business train led by the classy FP9 A-B-A consist. It may have been said dozens of times before, but the Belle is one of the classiest and most beautiful streamlined passenger trains to grace the rails, and I'll never grown tired of seeing it.
Operating from Kansas City, MO to Amsterdam, MO and back, the train will wye at the power plant spur and return north to Knoche Yard. This trip is for KC Current, women's soccer team that is sponsored by CPKC and whose stadium is named after the railroad. 10/11/24.
Summer trip to Kamloops, BC.. Alberta Rockies. Jasper NP
Okay, so we’re not really ‘moving’ but we have picked everything up off the island in preparation for remodeling. Summer island seemed to have been around forever, but soon it’ll be converted to a spooky haunted foresty island? Not 100% sure what the wifey has planned but I know it’ll be good! We’ll be slumming it up in the new skybox till things are done here. I’m excited to see what she does with the land but at the same time, I’ll kinda miss this place. Maybe we’ll meet again, next summer.
