I had a walk on Bleaklow this morning and saw this farmer on the other side of the hill moving sheep with his Border Collie. I had to put Pops back on the lead as she would have joined in and probably sent them back in the other direction.

I ride past this field everyday when I ride my bike and I have been watching it get more intense in color...... this is the peek I believe!

Small and large flocks of geese were leaving the harbour for the surrounding corn fields.

a group of about 70ish golden plovers in a field this morning, i missed them taking off because i turned my back to change a battery & they were up!

A medium-sized plover with a distinctive gold and black summer plumage. In winter the black in replaced by buff and white. They typically stand upright and run in short bursts. Very wary on the breeding grounds. In winter they form large flocks which fly in fairly tight formation with rapid, twinkling wingbeats.

This shot was taken at Point Lobos State Reserve near Monterey, California. Luckily, the light was dull so I could take some longer exposures to capture the motion of the water. Despite being the middle of June when I took this, I was definitely surprised by how cold it could feel when the winds are strong and the sun isn't out!

Something to note: This is a blending of two separate images, which you can probably see if you take a closer look. I definitely need to work on blending images together!

Moving Forward 2014

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.” ― Steve Maraboli,

A Galeruca larvae was found early in the morning slowly moving in the grass. A common finding here during April.

An experiment - long exposure tracking a moving target.

The evening was spent at the bay in Quilcene, Washington. Lots happening here; motion but little to no color.

We're doing the crate shuffle for Bunny. She needed a bigger crate to sleep in, so I got the larger pink crate to keep on the main floor (for afternoon naps ;-)) and am moving the black cage (to the left) upstairs. She sleeps in it next to me. On the floor. I'm not on the floor. lol.. Kapish? ;-)

It wasn't totally set up yet - there's a plush cushion that goes in the bottom of the crate. But Bunny was investigating it and I had the camera out, so just had to take a pic. :-)
