I enjoy having company while I head out on adventures in the middle of the night to keep my mind off weird sounds from the bushes and to inspire me to shoot in different ways. My brother in law came out with me this night with a goal of shooting the milky way and some wind swept trees in Killbear Provincial Park. Just out of frame, there was a group of people that ruined countless shots of this spot by shining their flashlights at us but we managed to get a few keepers.

Came to the Millennium Bridge with my good buddy Carlos. We thought that we’d get some arty long expo shots of people walking over the bridge. Shame they came out looking like mud. Reckon that the exposures were too long. You live and learn.
It was a tad sunny for classic B&W LE but we had a go and here is one of my efforts. I now wish that I had moved more to the left.

Day 50, Sydney, Australia:
As Columbus readied to move position into Sydney Harbour. I had a great view onto the city centre form a different angle.
Today Melbourne rules have changed to allow more people back into workplaces, restaurants and other venues. We are on the move, getting back to something relatively normal in the sunshine. All the best to those who are still sheltering at home and with rising rates of infections. HMMM:)

Boat-tailed Grackles are large, lanky songbirds with rounded crowns, long legs, and fairly long, pointed bills. Males have very long tails that make up almost half their body length and they typically hold them folded in a V-shape, like the keel of a boat.
The glossy blue-black males are hard to miss as they haul their ridiculously long tails around or display them from marsh grasses or trees. They are so common Everglades guides nicknamed them swamp rats. They are all over the Everglades! Fun to observe.

Big D&H Boats pull north at Lanesboro, PA on what was once the Penn Division of the Delaware & Hudson, now part of Guilford Transportation. The line is getting one last, "hurrah", in trains were rerouted around the Beldon tunnel during a floor dig to make better clearance of it. These GE's were used in to assist the run around moves that were needed in order to point trains in the correct direction. After these moves, the line would be ripped up and nature would soon take over whatever was left.
Just returned from a bit of traveling, so feeling quite overwhelmed. Time to dig into the archives for some inspiration and sharing.
Most everyone knows that I'm quite passionate about owls ... and probably my favorite of all owls are the burrowing owls. There's something so incredibly wonderful about them and their personalities shine brightly. While the young owlets are quite inquisitive and curious about everything, the adults can be more described as more protective and observant ... often staring you down with those mesmerizing eyes. It's as if they're daring you to make one false move. LOL.
This image was taken in 2017, just before we moved out to CO. Haven't seen them out here yet, though undoubtedly I will. It just takes time. :-)
