I first ventured out to shoot the BC Rail heritage unit on CN but noted the Wheeling was in Lang yard when I went by heading north but they were gone when coming back south. It turned out they were still in town so I aimed for the east side. They got hung up at Ironville for a CSX Northbound and the NS "Maumee puller" doubling up and heading south before they finally got the light. After a shot there I also aimed for the east end of Evans Yard for this shot of them rolling by the Oregon Water tower as they started to pick up speed to head down the NS Toledo District. Knowing they had the Wheeling's new anniversary unit on the point helped tease sticking out this adventure that started around midnight and culminated in this shot at 2:08AM. Oregon, OH 5/30/2021

I have found pictures I took of this building back as far as 2011
I always thought this building looked like a school but didn't know for sure.
Sometime after that it disappeared In 2019, we noticed a sign on a building that I am sure we had driven past numerous times on remote dirt road not noticing it before on Henrys cut off. I couldn't imagine the school being this far from town between 1898 & 1935
I didn't recognize it as being the same building. After comparing the two different pictures taken years apart, I realize why. When the new owner moved it he put a different front on it. Looks like he added windows to the side also,
This fall we drove past where we thought the school was located. Each time we though somehow, we missed it. We decided something had happed to it again.
I wrote to a Facebook friend who is very knowledgeable about the area's history
He told me it had been moved back to Henry. I had driven past it several times without noticing it.

The Brown Pelican in breeding plumage takes to the skies near La Jolla Cove, California. The brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) is a bird of the pelican family, Pelecanidae, one of three species found in the Americas and one of two that feed by diving into water. It is found on the Atlantic Coast from New Jersey to the mouth of the Amazon River, and along the Pacific Coast from British Columbia to Peru, including the Galapagos Islands.

SVRR 6512 and SVRR 5940 head northbound over a trestle in Verona, Virginia, as they continue their morning work.
The Baron Hill Estate was built in 1618 at the request of the Richard Bulkeley. In 1776, architect Samuel Wyatt re-designed the mansion in a Neo-Palladian style. By World War I, the Bulkeley family moved from the mansion and no longer used it as a permanent residence due to lack of funds to maintain the stately home.
This is the front of my apartment building, because the pandemic has made me lazy.
No longer do I drive models across town to deserted parks, or hike with them up mountains. Nope, now it's the front of my building or the side of my building...maybe the street behind my building, if I'm feeling adventurous.
On a rare occasion, I'll go about a half mile away to the river, shoot there. But it's such a hassle, now!
So instead I go all the way down the stairs to the sidewalk, plop friends in front of the nice stone wall, wait for the wind to move their hair, engage them in delightful conversation, and take this photo.
Worse ways to spend a global catastrophe!

This is when I actually noticed the deer moving along. It looks like one, but they are together. I wish I'd had a longer lens with me, as the deer were taking their time about it! Again, zoom in to center frame.
UP 5898 and passenger special has come to a stop here in Bootlegger Canyon to set up for an official corporate photo op. The Cane Creek Subdivision was built between August 1961 and the end of 1962 by the Denver and Rio Grande Western. While no (public) passenger train ever traveled on the branch under Rio Grande, I am not sure if the railroad ever ran an officer's special train down the branch. It is certainly possible that this is the first time in history that a passenger train has run through Bootlegger Canyon!

Deer often stay in a relatively small area, where they can find good cover, food, and water. When the rut starts, that area can become larger as they search out does that are in estrus. This is the time of the year when you often see bucks passing through that you haven't seen before, as they move out of their usual haunts. It gives photographers an opportunity to photograph some big bucks.

Recorded at Narroways Hill Junction in July 1997, RES liveried EWS 47761 climbs away from Bristol at the head of the 5S09 afternoon empty TPO mail vans from Bristol, Barton Hill to Cardiff. The locomotive and stock would later work the evening Cardiff to Glagow Mail.
