About halfway through our meal the server swooped by our table, lifted this pot of flowers from it and moved them to this table, the next one over. Is that Parisian for "your bill isn't big enough to merit flowers"? And why would I think twice about eating a meal near a dumpster in the states when it seems to have charm in Paris?

Both new and returning students moved in to their dorms today. The orientation crew did a wonderful job swooping in and helping new students and their families.

Lieutenant Governor Kay Ivey and Sen. Del Marsh continued the “Ivey on the Move” tour to Calhoun County. The two visited Jacksonville small business, Bear & Son Cutlery, in the morning. The company recently secured the licensing rights to manufacture Remington pocket knives, as a result of Remington moving to Alabama. Lt. Governor Ivey and Sen. Marsh then attended “The Final Big Bang” at Ft. McClellan commemorating the successful conclusion of Unexploded Ordnance remediation. They finished the day touring the Center for Domestic Preparedness where Ebola response training is underway. October 15, 2014.
