for many years my garden was a shrubbery flic.kr/p/Lhv9ag which i loved. a picket fence covered in an ivy hedge coming down in a storm flic.kr/p/2gnCyih meant that over time changes had to happen flic.kr/p/2mn2x8a i'll be glad when the trellis is covered in honeysuckle and jasmine. that's the plan ...

We acquired another Miehle V-50 yesterday and shipped off a Vandercook Universal III. The V-50 will join the one we already have, and the Univ. III will be refurbished for operation. Rob Barnes of Foils and Dies in Denver, along with wife Elizabeth, brought the Miehle down from Denver, and Loren Lew, my business partner, was operating the fork lift. The easiest way for loading-unloading the Vandercooks for short distances is to put the forks under the bed with forks extended to back panel of the support stand. Never use forks under the sheet metal cabinet of these as it will collapse, and there goes the press. The Univ III came out of a photoengraving shop in San Carlos, Calif. and the Miehle from a shop that recently closed in Sterling, Colorado.

At it again with some more progress on the build. Motor is now officialy back in for it's last time until start up. Brake tuck is complete, and the manifold that I was so back and forth on what colour to go with it has been sprayed wrinkle black and I think it turned out totally legit! More to come in the following days!

Julia helping out with the Move!

This is at the start of day 2 of the move. Matt, Nick, Phil and I managed to get the cylinder and base out the day before, I was too busy keeping the bed on the hoist and out of the basement to take any pictures!

Not the same doll at all :) Philippines (still waiting for her spa) vs Taiwan. Just note, their hair colors are different as wall as make up palette.

Philadelphia Police watch as members of MOVE leave their house after a May 16th 1978 shootout that ended a year-long standoff with police over orders to vacate the Powelton Village MOVE house. MOVE failed to relocate as required by a court order.[4] When police later attempted entry, Philadelphia police officer James J. Ramp was killed by a shot to the back of the head. The source of the bullet is controversial, as the scene of the crime was ultimately destroyed by further action from the police. MOVE representatives claim that he was facing the house at the time, which would therefore negate the notion that MOVE was responsible for his death. Seven other police officers, five firefighters, three MOVE members, and three bystanders were injured in an unrelated crossfire. As a result, nine MOVE members were found guilty of third-degree murder in the shooting death of a police officer. Seven of the nine became eligible for parole in the spring of 2008, and all seven were denied parole. Parole hearings now occur yearly.

Arches National Park, Utah

Heading out after a very enjoyable night in the park. I knew I wanted a road shot and had tried at one or two other locations. I swear I thought the road was flat and my tripod straight. Something with the perspective of this photo is off though. Lots of things I like about this photo personally. I hope you enjoy.
