Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper getting kidnapped by aliens and becoming best friends while they defeat a bad guy sounds like every fanfiction I've read (minus the romantic entanglements). Six months ago I gladly signed up for the crossover, sight unseen, but now I wish PlayStation Move Heroes was just a non-canon project of a less than imaginative teen, and not the official Sony waggle fest that I just played.
PlayStation Move Heroes is puzzling from the start. Sony had the opportunity for a massive crossover between three of their best franchises, and yet the story here is… stupid. It barely makes sense, and isn't half as epic any one of these character's own stories, let alone as expansive as their crossover should be. All the voice actors do their best, and they inject their humor into it, but it's lame. Ignoring that a game starring three of platforming's most popular stars doesn't let you jump, PlayStation Move Heroes is ok. Most of the mini-games control well, though a couple are almost broken. Shooting by aiming the Move wand at the screen works fine, and swinging the wand to make Ratchet attack with his wrench has no issues. But these are fundamentals mastered in first year Wii titles. Move can do a hell of a lot more than waggle. The various control schemes are used in different scenarios, involving either rescuing little aliens called Whibbles, or destroying robot bad guys. The mini-games just never seem to click. They're functional, but they never get fun. Using the whip in certain mini-games is a chore. It is by far the worst controlling part of the game, and one of the worst controlling Move implementations I've seen. Shooting robots up is fast-paced, and there are leaderboards, but it's too solitary an experience. It feels like I'm playing a party game by myself. PlayStation Move Heroes feature co-op, but it relegates the second player to a cursor that collects crystals and occasionally drops a bomb or a powerup. It's the most rudimentary of girlfriend modes, feeling similar to the disappointing co-op in Super Mario Galaxy.
Beating PlayStation Move Heroes is easy; getting all the gold medals and finding the hidden collectibles is not. Randomly, some of the levels are frustratingly difficult. And most of the gold bolts/orbs/coins you have to find are more elusive than any of the collectibles in the parent games. I want to like PlayStation Move Heroes. It's killing me that it kind of sucks. The appeal of some of my favorite video game characters ever doesn’t outweigh that this is a boring mini-game collection with spotty controls. A decent story could have saved me from disappointment, but PlayStation Move Heroes doesn't even have that. I can’t even recommend this game as an easy Trophy game. Unless you're desperate for a new Move title, or to see your heroes slum it, just skip it.

I had been waiting for this further up the line but when it didn’t show on RTT I got in the car and went back home only to find it WAS running but an hour late. So with a quick walk back to the railway I was just in time to capture DRS 37605 with 90002 and a DVT in tow. The delayed 37 had worked up from Ilford EMUD at a busy time of day and in addition there were some service anomalies over the strike. In fact some RMT members had set up camp at Colchester station.
St. Helena passenger/cargo ship is moved from Cammell Laird dry dock to Bidston graving dock to continue work on her. She is to be converted to a motor racing base ship for E motor racing.

A chance stop at the wonderful station at Blair Atholl , and along comes the 1H51 12.09 from Glasgow Queen Street to Inverness. Some of the redeployed Class 43’s that were sent from First Great Western to the frozen north are now operating on this line. A couple of old friends 43134 & 43026, are topping and tailing the train. It’s good to see them both again. With the uncomfortable Hitachi’s now holding sway on all lines west of London, they are sadly missed. The detail in this photo is a modellers delight, with the delightful signal box and the semaphore signals still holding sway.

Samuel Shuler, 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, races to the next station during the “ruck run” event of the national “Best Warrior” competition. The “range run” contained nine events, including an M9 pistol range, shoot and move, and machine gun station, spread out over a six-mile course.

This unique round 2 story house was built in 1978 by John Ward.
John had built the small hut with plans to live in it and run a farm on his land. The Government had another idea of how they would turn the area into a national park.
In the 1990s John reluctantly sold his block of land to the government and it was made part of the national park. Since then Johns home has been left abandoned and hidden away of the map.

Students move into their dorms as they prepare to start a new year at Loyola University New Orleans.
A new chapter for Pataphysical Studios started today, as we moved the 'Pataphysical Slot Machine to a new home. Our poetic oracle made its maiden journey to the hilltop ranch of Drs. Canard and Figurine, after six years of art incubation in Dr. Rindbrain’s backyard.
The move went very smoothly, with a fine crew of goggled pataphysicians on hand. It took us about four hours to load, unload and set up the exhibit, on a balmy Saturday afternoon. Getting the electronics connected took about an hour — and we got it all working, with a bit of soldering and ritual incantations.
We celebrated this historic occasion with a shot of absinthe and lots of good cheer. Ubu and the Slot Machine seem to fit right in their new home: a lovely guest room with a private entrance, overlooking an idyllic garden with views of the bay.
We plan to host viewing parties and open studios every few months, so others in our community can get to experience the Slot Machine and its magical wonderboxes. Long live Ubu!
