#4 Motion

Just the imperceptible movement of a paddle stroke across the sea and motion occurs in kayaking. One barely notices the dancing droplets of the small splash in this calm environment. Just my kind of day. :)

my attempts at using an 8-lens motion camera............ not so good.

thanks jenn for the sweet birthday gift though! hopefully i'll learn how to use it better :)

Though technically this photo can be called a poor take, I badly wanted to capture the motion blur, which has made me post it.

I saw this bird, while walking in Delft. When it took off I was ready with my D50. Unfortunately, the bird was out of range for a flash and environment light was too low for short shutter time... However, after downloading the picture on my computer it gave me a strange sense of motion. Usually the moving object is sharp in these pictures, but this gives a certain blurred dreaming effect.

Part of a work in progress project on motion.

Em, shocked at Alexa walking in on them, sprints for the door.

The rain was never going to stop us capturing every moment

My attempt at water in motion.

the sky was overcast but, probably not quite enough because I just couldn't get that satin look I see with other shots.

not bad for the first attempt though.

So soft, but yet can be so loud!

Using rear-curtain flash, I was able to capture the subject's lightsaber in motion, and using a high powered flash to freeze the subject at the end of the 2 second shutter.

There was this art drawn on the side of a building in Denison I shot this while we were driving by. I actually like it better than the art itself.
