A lap quilt for my son featuring a construction panel. Free-motion quilted and a pieced "wonky" log cabin back just for fun. (Quilt looks uneven because it was very windy when this was taken!) Measures about 40 x 33. 2008

Used the AV setting. Clicked with the crystal still, then after 3 seconds blew on it to get it to swing. One exposure.
Lights in motion from a carnival ride. I let the ride do its thing, but also swirled my camera with the shutter open as well. Photo was taken in May at the Wells Fargo Arena carnival, in Des Moines, IA.

Violet food dye and water in a wine glass. Composite of two images. Basically, I composited in a second photo on the bottom half of the image to get rid of my hand. Check out the setup shot for more details.

My niece and her best friend operate an instructional studio in San Luis Obispo, CA, Suspended Motion Aerial Arts (www.SuspendedMotion.net) and I have what I consider the enviable job of photographing at the dress rehearsal before their annual show at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande. This year's theme was, "Circus of Fairy Tales" and these performers suspended above the stage were part of the Sleeping Beauty scene. I'll never think of that story the same again. (I'm not sure of the official name for the ladder device.)
Made with Lofidentiste at home in Dijon. Long exposure/Light painting + Stop Motion.

3 hours shooting, 2 hours post-production.
I really like shooting through glass, the results are very pleasing to me. I've shot many versions of this kind of image and finally got the one worth posting. The reflection of the trees is really what got me.
It drizzled, it was slightly windy and the ground was wet but I still managed to convince myself that some images can be made in such weather.
I had a Senior shoot and was satisfied with most of my images. :-) Here she was battling with the wind - I love the movement in this image. I hope you do to. Feel free to share what else you see in this image. I am open to constructive criticism.
