Located in California's spectacular Eastern Sierra, Mono Lake is an oasis in the dry Great Basin and a vital habitat for millions of migratory and nesting birds.
The unusual rock formations that grace Mono Lake's shores are known to geologists as tufa. Tufa forms in a variety of ways at Mono Lake, but the most visible and remarkable formations are the towers that grace Mono's shoreline.
Prints created from a stencil for the 'Disaster' brief.
Experimenting with ink qualities, translucency and opacity. I used a paper stencil to create solid edged shapes which represent the negative space in cracks in paving slabs.

A short series of Mono Street images done mostly with the P&S
Given them a film grain look, to add a bit of 'old' feel to them.
First time I have had a go at this type of shooting style, so was interesting to see what works etc.
If you have any advice them let me know. Suggestions are most welcome.
