La cruz de metal que se halla en los alrededores del castillo de Chinchilla, al atardecer, invitaba a buscar una composición que, de alguna manera, conceptualizase ese vínculo de unión entre lo celestial y lo terrenal que simboliza. Así pues, aproveché que mi colega Inma se situó al lado de la cruz para hacer esta toma. De ese modo, e inspirados por la épica de ese bello chinchillano atardecer, en tan incomparable marco como los aledaños del castillo suponían, decidimos hacer un fotográfico homenaje a "la Dama de Orleans".

The metal cross, located in the surroundings of the Chinchilla Castle, invited us to look for a composition that, in some way, conceptualized this symbolic bond of connexion between earthly and spiritual that it holds. So, I took the opportunity that my colleague Inma was standing near the cross to take this shot. Thus, encouraged by the beauty of the Chinchilla sunset in such an incomparable setting as the surroundings of the castle are, we decided to pay a photographic tribute to the figure of the Maid of Orleans.

A year ago, I was taking this photo in the Apennines in the upper Trebbia Valley. You can see conglomerates of the Earth's mantle, in fact a remote magma, with next to it a bush of Ferns, a real remote plant relict that has survived till our days. All this had fascinated me to the point of sharing privately, this photo with Claudius. He also loves images that intrigue and move the thought. Since we have known each other, I have always recognized his gift as a visionary. When he returned the photo to me, with his personal “imaginary vision” of that moment, I was amazed and admired. I propose today that photo revisited by him, because it's a concentrate of landscape reality with traces that come from a remote past and where his visionary intuition, combines present and past in a coherent and reliable way, like a beautiful 1:1 scale Diorama.

C'era una volta
Un anno fa, scattavo in appennino in alta Valtrebbia questa foto. Si vedono conglomerati del mantello terrestre, di fatto un remoto magma, con accanto un cespuglio di Felci, vero e proprio relitto vegetale sopravissuto sino ai giorni nostri. Tutto ciò mi aveva affascinato al punto di condividere in privato, questa foto con Claudius. Ama anche lui immagini che incuriosiscono e muovono il pensiero. Da quando ci conosciamo, gli ho sempre riconosciuto la dote di visionario. Quando mi ha restituito la foto, con la sua personale rivisitazione di quel momento, sono rimasto stupito e ammirato. Propongo oggi quella foto, perchè è un concentrato di realtà paesaggistica con tracce che arrivano da un passato remoto e dove la sua intuizione visionaria, unisce presente e passato in modo coerente e attendibile, come in un bellissimo Diorama in scala 1:1.
Spero vi piaccia, come a me piace quella zona della alta Valtrebbia, regno di fauna selvatica e che meriterebbe di diventare un vero e proprio Parco Geologico.

Las Lampyrinae son una gran subfamilia de luciérnagas (Lampyridae). La delimitación exacta y la sistemática interna son un tema de debate; durante mucho tiempo, este grupo se utilizó como un "taxón de basura" para albergar a todas las luciérnagas con relaciones insuficientemente resueltas.

Callopisma dominicana is a species of insect that belongs to the firefly family (Lampyridae). It has been found in the Central Mountain Range of the Dominican Republic.
The Lampyrinae are a large subfamily of fireflies (Lampyridae). The exact delimitation and the internal systematics are a matter of debate; for long, this group was used as a "wastebin taxon" to hold any fireflies with insufficiently resolved relationships.
They are very diverse, even as a good monophyletic group, containing flashing and continuous-glow fireflies from the Holarctic and some tropical forms.

I noviluni di questa estate non sono stati molto favorevoli. Spesso sereno ma con il cielo veramente poco trasparente. Inoltre anche la temperatura ambiente ha contribuito a complicare le cose per chi utilizza le DSLR non raffreddate.
Infatti in questa circostanza pur essendo a 1600 metri slm la temperatura non è mai scesa sotto i 20°C facendo lavorare il sensore della mia 550D intorno ai 26°-27°C e file.raw con rumore termico.
Ad ogni modo ho tentato di ottenere il massimo dall'immagine combinata con DSS.
Persino il gradiente da inquinamento luminoso ha voluto complicarmi la vita, ma spero che il risultato sia comunque gradevole.

La volta di ghiaccio si incurva sopra la grotta come un’onda silenziosa. Dall’apertura entra una calda luce diurna, che illumina il ghiaccio con sfumature di blu, verde e oro. In lontananza, alcune cime dell’Engadina sono immerse negli ultimi raggi del sole.
Colpisce la limpidezza del ghiaccio, dovuta alla sua formazione estremamente lenta: l’acqua si congela goccia dopo goccia, permettendo ai cristalli di crescere in modo ordinato e quasi privo di difetti. In assenza di bolle d’aria e impurità, la luce può attraversarlo senza ostacoli, tingendolo di un intenso blu verde.

Auffallend ist die Klarheit des Eises, die auf seine extrem langsame Bildung zurückzuführen ist: Das Wasser gefriert Tropfen für Tropfen und ermöglicht den Kristallen, nahezu fehlerfrei und geordnet zu wachsen. In Abwesenheit von Luftblasen und Verunreinigungen kann das Licht ungehindert hindurchdringen und färbt das Eis in ein tiefes Blaugrün.

The clarity of the ice is striking, resulting from its extremely slow formation: water freezes drop by drop, allowing the crystals to grow in an orderly way with hardly any flaws. With almost no air bubbles or impurities, light can pass through unobstructed, giving the ice a deep blue green tint.
