Some very creative people out there. This Rat Rod crafted an old Electrolux vacuum as an air intake. It did make me laugh and admire the owners creativity. This Rat Rod appeared at the 35 Ol' Marais River Run car show held at Forrest Park in Ottawa Kansas.

350 cu in SBC short block with 4 Stromberg 97's on a Weiand manifold. The headlights ought to be brassed to match the radiator. Actually from a historical standpoint the Brass Age of cars was over after 1914 so it doesn't matter. In fact I think this car body is probably fiberglass anyway so authenticity isn't really an issue.

I haven't posted anything for a while so I was suffering from withdrawal. I have a new lens to play with but life has gotten in the way of getting out and giving it a proper workout.

This one looks like it might glow in the dark.

Several years ago about 50 owners of Model T Fords toured the Brunswick area. Here, one of the owners is just crossing the Cribstone Bridge onto Bailey Island in Harpswell, Maine. HSS

Shot of the Holley NH "straight through" installed. It runs and idles very well.

In our last post we told you, Buster Keaton didn’t do take two and here is why.

(Just a Theory)

If you start doing multiple takes there is just too much to keep track of. You have to start inventing jobs like, Continuity Director. See, we do a second take and the Train has changed!

The location is a Red Rocks Amphitheater parking lot. (That’s “car park” for our European friends)

Gus McTavish on the right is 80 and an old time certified mechanic that eventually finished his schooling after he decided he didn't want to be a working mechanic forever, he went on to university and eventually became a high school principal. Gus is the go to guy when anything mechanical on a hot rod requires an expert. Here he is setting up 'progressive' linkage on three 2 barrel carbs that are on a vintage Ford flathead V8 engine installed in a 1925 Ford Model T hot rod roadster that is under construction.
