I bought this little brass model yesterday. They are scarce, with very few made. These are the seller's photos. When it arrives, I will restore the Lindsay "teaspoon of power" drive, but, I will leave the body shell the way it is.
Well before the next club meet the boys wanted to do a service on the power cars and an inspection of them as well. So the cars were disconnected and the power units were put together and sent to the shop. After things were ready they were run slowly into the shop and will be there for the week. I have just started restoring this Akane C&O 2-6-6-6 for my friend Sean. This is a series of photos showing how it was received (in parts), going through drive modifications and finally, paint and reassembly - This photo shows how the flywheel clears the backhead prior to soldering in place.
This is a model that I started a few years ago, then it got put on the back burner for a while. I plan to complete the model soon. It started as an early Akane SP AC-11/12, I am converting it to an earlier type AC-6. New spoke drivers, replace the Box-pok type used on the later AC-11

I bought this model last week, it arrived, but needed some work. I had to remove the cab and fuel bunker in order to correct their alignment. It appeared that at some point the model was dropped and the cab and fuel bunker were pushed out of alignment with the boiler. After repairing the cab and making a new cab vent, I used the blast booth to remove most of the blemishes on the brass. Then it was reassembled after an airbrush coat of clear gloss paint. The model still needs some work, but, it is coming along well I think.

This is a Custom Brass New York Central P-2A Electric Locomotive in HO scale that I bought recently. I spent this weekend repairing it. It was a basket case and was missing some parts. I still have to find a pantograph shoe for the roof to complete it, but, now it looks much better and runs very well.
