Is this a fun mini-quilt or what? She knew I was a knitter and created this lovely quilt! I'm so proud to have this on my wall in the office. Thank you so much!

Can I shrink down and live here?

Miniature purse prototype - trying out shape and stuff - flap just hangs over - underneath will have a zipper closure. I'm thinking it needs to be a bit taller - maybe a tad taller than wider? Hmm. Excuse the weird fabric and all - this was just sitting there so I grabbed it and cut it up to use for the prototype. Oh, and will be lined too. Open pocket in the back on the inside or zipper pocket?

I love to stage my miniatures and tell short stories and for that I always need little props. One such prop is a shipping crate that is big enough to house a little miniature that I have just finished and want to show off. This 1/12 scale crate is very easy to make and requires only a few tools. I hope you will find this tutorial easy enough to try and make your own crates.

Tutorial with video are on my blog

Cool is the name of this Miniature Horse. I would have to add 'awesome' to his description. He stands about the same height as my male Great Dane however outweighs him by several hundred pounds. He is still loosing the long shaggy coat and beard that protects him from harsh winter temperatures. He's very even tempered and was an absolute treat to meet!

Andrew Smith made these shoes as a self-portrait as an entry for a competition for Norwich Fringe Festival at the Bally Shoe Factory in Norwich in 2003 when there was a 'Self-portrait in a shoebox' competition. His entry wasn't chosen as a winner because the judges thought they were too 'professional' and he must have had help.

Anyway, they were modelled on a pair of Italian shoes that he had bought in a little shop in Soho, London and the boxes nested like Matrioska dolls. You can see the real shoes in some of the shots
