One-twelfth scale miniature room in mirrored display case with decorated mantel, corner cabinet, tables, gifts, and, of course, cats. I made all of the furniture and most of the accessories. At the opening reception, the things that drew the most attention were not the fireplace or other furniture, but the pecan pie (on table with Santa candlesticks) and the bows on the little gifts. And yes, I did make all of them.
The Miniature Mediterranean Donkey is it's own breed, they are not bred down in size from standard donkeys. Their ancestors come from the Islands of Sicily and Sardinia near the Mediterranean Sea. The Miniature Donkey is extremely intelligent and docile and is easily trained. The first Miniature Donkeys were imported into the United States in 1929

4-H youth in the horse animal science project learn how to take care of, groom, and show horses. The 4-H Miniature Horse Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair includes Showmanship (based on the youth's handling of their horse), Halter (the horse's body structure is judged), In-Hand Obstacle Trail, Miniature Horse Jumping and Pleasure Driving (the horse pulls driver in a cart).

This is the middle floor with the big fireplace. So far I think I have used in excess of 15 feet of half timbering - on such a tiny house!

October 2007 - I bought a handful of plastic miniatures from a discount bin at a children's toy store.
We visited 'Miniature World' in Victoria, BC, last year and took a lot of photos while there - i took most of them, and my little point & shoot held up pretty well in dark lit conditions through the crazy reflective glass! lol.
Anyhoo - I was amazed by the detail of the minis in there, and it was a blast to look around and take in all of the little scenes and views. Lovely!

A picture of a miniature city at the Carnegie Science Center. This city was incredible... I took over 30+ pictures, but only posted the best ones.
During the the widening of the bridge at Cornell University (seen in background), a guy with a camera attached to a miniature blimp decided to get a better vantage point. While five cranes are busily moving bridge parts he maneuvered his little blimp through between the cranes. Needless to say, he and the blimp halted progress for a short time and were quickly removed!
Imagine the surprise on the crane operator's face seeing that little blimp float buy. Now that would be the picture!
