THIS is one of the resons why I've been so exhausted lately...Fritz joined our family a few months ago and he's NUTS. He's a wirehair black/tan piebald Miniature Dachshund.

I may have gotten it from a carnival 50+ years ago. It even has a spool for film inside and a working shutter. Could take pictures of a sort with it if film was available. I no longer have it.

My birthday present from Brian. =) The chocolate on those bananas makes me hungry!

my first attempt at miniature imagery. its taken me so long to do this because I can never find a good enough shot with a view looking down, and finally did whilst walking along the pier. :)

This is the second half of the "street" of stores.

Today was the 25th annual miniatures show held by the West LA miniatures club known as "Miniatures West." I usually go; there are pictures in my stream from previous years. None of the displays here were made by me; they were the presentations made my Miniatures West members and their friends.

Miniature Daffodils taken from a low angle with my wide angle lens. I liked how they stood out against the background bokeh.

This is a miniature Eryngium variifolium, but I'm not finding references to it on the web. It is much smaller than the one I have in the ground.

The doll was not part of this purchase, I just stuck her in the pic for scale.

Some of these miniatures are too small for Barbie, to be sure - but quite a few of them will work, and I'm looking forward to trying them out.

L♥VE those 5 tiny seed packets near the watering can full of flowers! :-D

The brass horn is not to scale ... but it will add a nice touch to Barbie's Christmas wreath.

Perhaps a few things which are under-sized can be worked into a playhouse scene for Kelly.

This is an intermediate picture of our latest minatures project for our miniatures club- it is a 10" round vignette that can be viewed from both sides and is a "wall" that separates an interior from an exterior.

Here's the "interior" side. I had to lay the floor before I could finish the paper clay, which still isn't quite done along the bottom below the flooring yet. But you can see the basic foam core shapes used to make the project that are glued together.

A miniature book which contains the words to the Leslie Fish song "Fellowship Going South." The title is hot-stamped in silver foil. The boards have a shallow relief pattern of a landscape built up in 20pt board, subtly visible beneath the handmade paper. The spine is leather. The text paper is Mohawk Superfine, and the signatures are rounded but not backed.
