Went miniature golfing today. I scored a 58 which was probably something like 16 over par, but I still won, despite being mobbed by children from a birthday party. A sticky faced kid almost stole my ball.

Painted by me, for my Waterloo Project.

I bought some assorted fabrics and folded them around cardboard inserts. Then wrapped the folded sheets with cellophane cut to size. Finishing touch is a little label. I also embroidered a blanket to go with the sheets.
Niagara Falls, Canada
Niagara Falls /naɪˈæɡrə, naɪˈæɡərə/ is a group of three waterfalls at the southern end of Niagara Gorge, spanning the border between the province of Ontario in Canada and the state of New York in the United States. The largest of the three is Horseshoe Falls, also known as Canadian Falls, which straddles the international border of the two countries. The smaller American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls lie within the United States. Bridal Veil Falls is separated from Horseshoe Falls by Goat Island and from American Falls by Luna Island, with both islands situated in New York.
Formed by the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls have the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of more than 50 m (160 ft). During peak daytime tourist hours, more than 168,000 m3 (six million cubic feet) of water goes over the crest of the falls every minute. Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by flow rate. Niagara Falls is famed for its beauty and is a valuable source of hydroelectric power. Balancing recreational, commercial, and industrial uses has been a challenge for the stewards of the falls since the 19th century.
Niagara Falls is located 27 km (17 mi) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York, and 121 km (75 mi) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York. Niagara Falls was formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path over and through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean.
Note the tiny NS Horsehead logos on the top of the hood of this coil car, it's a pretty nice detail by NS. The car is a Trinity 42' steel coil car Norfolk Southern 164050.

Received from my swap partner, Deb. Aren't they wonderful!!! How tiny and how perfect. She also made the knitted dishcloth! The little doll I sent her is going to look like a giant compared to these two precious babies! It can be seen here:

I forgot to take a photo of the little quilt I made to go with her.
There is a miniature railway at Waihi station, and this is one of the engines that is sometimes brought in to run on the track.

This miniature horse lives on a small farm across a country road from one of the high schools in the rural county where I work. He was very curious and moved from his water bowl quickly across his small pasture to check me out. It was obvious he was hitting me up food, but my lack of treats didn't make him leave.
There were lots of these at the Central States Threshers Reunion, in Pontiac, Illinois, on Labor Day weekend. Like the miniature steam engines, these were hand built by hobbyists.

In April, 2019, I visited the Li'l Country Store & Miniature Horse Farm in Ronks, Pennsylvania. I've seen children driving carts pulled by miniature horses.
Grabbed some miniature cars from the children's toy bag and rushed outside.

Miniature “art boards” that I created! It is a print of lovely floral art sign that is decoupaged on chipboard. I painted the edges with an antique gold.
It would be a lovely addition to your dollhouse or miniature room box!
It could also be used as a Barbie accessory!
