Finished the Lindo Guapo 32mm miniature, by Freebooter Miniatures.
Enjoyed painting him, though I was going a bit goggle-eyed at all the freehand patterning by the end!
Got him done just in time for Salute, where he got through to the final round of judging.

I decided to abandon my old method of storing my miniatures (using shelves - www.flickr.com/photos/spilth/211401021/in/set-72157594351... and start using plastic bins for them. The bins allow me to still keep them sorted by type, but forgo keeping them sorted by size and count. Keeping them sorted by type, size and count makes them really easy to find, but extremely annoying to put back. Now my friends and I can just put them back in the correct Type bin and be done with them. It makes finding them a little bit more time consuming but I think it's a good trade off.
I also decided to move my books to the other side of the room and maybe get rid of the book shelf on the opposite, thus giving everybody a little more room around the table during games.
This is a nice example of the kind of miniature cross stitch embroidery that is created in the Mazahua community of San Felipe Santiago in the state of Mexico. This piece measures 5 inches by 7.5 inches

I'm completely obsessed with dollhouse miniatures lately! My latest tiny creation is an itty-bitty Valentine's Day card.
Today I build (from a model) this chair & painted it. I think it turned out rather cute, but then again everything miniature is cute, isn't it?
We design and create fairy houses, dollhouses, fairy furniture and dollhouse miniatures for all variety of magical beings :). All products are lovingly crafted in our woodland studio using forest bits and fairy dust (which was acquired some time ago)... All items are 1:12 scale, that is 1" = 1'.

This one is entirely hand pieced and hand quilted. It's about 20 by 23 inches. The little squares are 1 and 1/2 inches.
