3x3 inches, acrylic on Tyvek
This is the last miniature for now - the paintings go in the mail today. This one was inspired by my brother-in-law's grandmother at her wood burning cook stove. I simplified the image lots, but it's still a little busy. Some of the edges are a bit too hard for my taste as well, but I decided that it was done - not more fussing. Maybe somebody will like the nostalgia of the piece.

My latest project with paper craft---made this for a friend with a new apartment that needed a piano! Lots of fun---needs a miniature soprano to stand beside it!

The third week of camp was a busy one for all our campers! The middle camp boys went and saw the Trenton Thunder play, the senior boys went to laser tag, the CITs went to Dave and Busters, and a few groups went bowling. This week also including some visiting days for many groups. Also, our first Twilight parties of the season were this week! With the third week over we look forward to a great fourth week!

Not perfect at all but I'm chuffed with it - especially as it was my first use of fake water.
It is 5.3cm or 2" wide, the big happy fish is a glass bead, the 2 seahorses and 2 small fish were earrings that I painted ...
There are far too many bubbles but at least these fish won't die and the water will never need changing!
Battlescape is the name of a new miniature wargame that I've been creating at home during my summer holidays. It is castle-based with a few fantasy elements to it. LEGO minifigs are perfect for using as miniatures in the game, and the armies are named after LEGO armies (for the moment). I have an almost complete set of rules; if anyone is interested in having a look at them then please FM me and I will email them to you (after my 10 day holiday). This game was purely made for fun :)
Thanks for reading!

A glimpse inside the miniature White House on exhibit at the Ronald Reagan library in Simi Valley. The details were amazing.
Inside the White House: A Special Exhibit
March 15, 2010
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will open a special exhibit featuring the White House Miniature, an authentic recreation of the White House measuring 50 feet long and 18 feet wide: a one-foot-to-one-inch scale. Taking over 600,000 hours of labor to create, the miniature is an amazing replica, showing visitors an intimate look into the White House - from the Lincoln bedroom to the Oval Office to tiny, working televisions to hand-carved chairs, tables and crystal chandeliers. Created by the Zweifel family, and first exhibited in 1979, the Miniature White House has been seen by over 42 million Americans. This special exhibit will open to the public on March 15, 2010.
