Een quiltje van 40x40 cm, gemaakt met allemaal kleine restjes stof. Ik heb op de witte achtergrond een hart getekend, en dat dan opgevuld met restjes. Die heb ik er vervolgens opgestikt (dus enkel op de witte stof, niet op de achterkant).
De achterkant is van flannel.
Daarna, zonder vulling, beide lagen samengequilt met roze coton perlé (zie detailfoto). Tenslotte afgeboord.
In totaal ben ik er ongeveer 6 uur aan bezig geweest, denk ik.
Het geheel voelt nogal slap aan (zoals een vaatdoek), dus ik ga nog een tweede proefexemplaar maken met de dunste vulling die ik in huis heb.
A full view of the Mini Pok set. The small red container came from a craft store, and the 50 or so minifig heads were plucked from minifigs in my City, Castle and Pirate sets.
50 minifig heads really isn't that many, though, so I had to build a yellow platform inside the container to give the appearance that it was full. I also used a set of tweezers to position each head individually, which I guess demonstrates either my attention to detail or severe obsessive-compulsiveness. :D
Inspired by homebuilt, garden-sized dozers, roughlyish minifig scale. Built to go on a flatbed with the Peterbilt 352.

This is the how the Soma Mini Velo fender project ends. I ended up finding New Old Stock fenders from the late 50s by a company called McCaulay Metal Products. At first I was kinda iffy on the fold/fin on the front fender. Now I love it. I was originally looking for just a regular fender like a Wald or if SKS made a 20" model in silver. These fenders suit Bubo nicely.

Finally made it in the original colour... Found those dark green doors from my usual Netherlands store... it was expensive, lucky it arrived safely. Now Lego needs to make those mudguards in dark green too!
How I wish I also drove this mini but as of now, I can only afford to drive a Toyota Vios! LOL!
