A collaborative project between my partner and me. They design buildings in sketches on paper, I iterate them into LEGO designs matching the LEGO/Bricktober Mini Modular standard, and together we go looking for parts in local secondhand stores' bulk bins and then Bricklink the rest. We've done 4 so far! The pizza place is an official set, 40181.
Explored, thanks everyone!
The green pods that look like mini green tomatoes are actually mini flower buds that haven't bloomed yet. I took this shot today as I spotted them as I was pulling into my driveway from work, the funny thing is I'm see beauty in things that I have never given a second look! Photography has made look for the beauty in what I see, I look at the sun rise different than how I looked at it before and I thank my brother dperry1952 for getting me into photography.
4 12" Swoon blocks with wider sashing to accomodate extra stars. The finished quilt is 34x34" and all but one of the fabrics if from various Moda ranges. I straight line quilted it, echoing some of the seam lines.

Taken in Prosper, TX on a rainy Thursday morning. A bit of luck here, though. I happened on this Mini Cooper against this beautiful old wall in the downtown area. I loved the contrast (both in age and color) and had to shoot it.
The mini-skirt is for me one of the favorite items of clothing. You can say it's a very old love of me.

This Volkswagon Bus has been shortened enough that the front & rear wheels are just over a foot apart. In talking with the Owner, he told me that he has had this VW for 25 years and it is, other than the shortening, all original. When asked by someone else if it would pop a wheelie, the answer was "yes" with a large smile on his face. The only problem was that the wheelie's routinely tears out the rear end. He also said that he is in the finishing stages of building another one. I got some contact info but don't think he's willing to part with even the second one...
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

Place: Taichung
After I successfully completed my first semester in Taiwan I had a one week vacation, so I decided to visit Taichung and stayed there for 4,5 days, which resulted in almost 400 car spots. In terms of car spotting, Taichung is much more interesting than the capital.
