Mini Maryellen and Angela are practicing their baton twirling. They want to be majorettes when they are old enough like Mini ME’s big sister Joan and my mother, who was also named Joan, and her younger sisters.
I remember going to majorette practice with my youngest aunt, who is just five years older than I am. I spent many ours twirling too, but never did get to do it with a team

To celebrate our anniversary we decided to treat ourselves to a mini break somewhere. We decided on Weymouth because when we last visited for a day trip we got soaked! The house we chose looked lovely - dog-friendly, plenty of space to park and about a mile from the centre of town.
Our house is the one with the hedge on the front. The nearer house is the owner Sue's house. Maybe not that interesting from the front, but the biggest house we've ever stayed in (could've have slept 12 people here), and the garden at the back was lovely for Lina to explore!

With my friends of BrianzaLUG we made this 1:50 model of the volley stadium where A1 female team Futura Volley Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio plays.
This was a tribute to my hometown, and to this fantastic team (and nice players).
The project took about 6 month for the design and more than 3 months for the building and completion in LEGO bricks.
No glue, no kragle, few stickers only for the main team sponsors.

Mean-looking but legal - .223 Semi-Automatic Ruger Mini 14 with barrel shroud, flash hider, folding fiberglass stock, 30 round magazine. This is often in my vehicle when I am at my ranch. It makes a good varmint gun. It is a bit more accurate with the original wooden stock.

Mini 1275GT 1979. BL launched the Mini 1275 GT in 1969 ahead of the Mini Cooper MkIII, and in fact to replace the 55bhp Mini Cooper 998 MkII. The 1,275cc engine block in the GT differed significantly from the Cooper S MkIII, and only gave 59 bhp against the Cooper 75bhp. But the Cooper was culled in 1971 to avoid having to pay for the badge, and the GT could be tuned to match. 110,000 1275 GT were sold in 10 years
I've missed a MPD on the route before - standing on the main road, I saw one of the 04-reg ones take a service into the station with a morning journey, but it was showing Not in Service by the time I got to it.
So it was good to capture 1629 (LF52 USG) on the service.
This was the busiest I've seen a pm journey, perhaps due to the closure of the car park, starting this week, to build a new deck.
The other type I've seen on the service but missed a photo of is an ALX400... but I think I've definitely blown my chance of ever snapping one of those on the service!
