Day 4 of RebelLUG's Vignweek contest from 2024. The theme was "Microscale Set" which means, I quote "Revamp a LEGO set or sets in micro scale"

The Boutique Hotel (10297-1), one of my favorite set ever, it's just looking amazing, so naturally I decided to make it smaller, 2 time smaller by the way. It turns out it was way more complicated than expected because of the architecture, I could have seen it come but overwall, very fun to make.

Because of the time limit and the architecture, I wasn't able to make an interior but the first floor was windows not covered. Oh and the back isn't made (surprisingly x) )

Hope you like it though and see you tomorrow for Day 5 !

A few mini dioramas using some 6x6 flat tiles I got a while back. I love them; I'm definitely getting more of them soon.

Top picture is a basic port with a cargo ship and navy destroyer. On the port itself is a building with a helipad and an administrative facility.

Bottom left is a spaceport with a small ship.

Bottom right is a launch site, and in this case, I used Brickarms M6 rockets to represent nuclear warheads.

One of the great things about conventions is that I get super excited about building given all the awesome stuff going on. The bad news is that I'm usually super tired too. This time around I made a real effort to channel some of that excitement before it dampens and here is the first real result.

I built something and I don’t know what it is :)

The Boston-class is the workhorse of the USN and the USEF, outfitted for ship-to-ship warfare in roles from patrol to escort and interdiction. Double the size of the Washington-class LCS and twice as tough, the Boston sees action on the Gnobo, Wun'Tux and Hirudin borders.

From one extreme to the other. I spend months building a massive Batmobile, and then found myself fiddling around to put this together.

A more conventional design for more conventional fuel.

I recently designed and built this shiny new micro Lego AT-AT. I'll be sending one of these to each of the Grab Bag winners of my recent Teepocalypse contest!

A microscale version of three recent LEGO dioramas: Jaws, T-rex Breakout and Dagobah Jedi Training.

The Motorola J2-12 is an tropospheric survey ship. It uses a mag drive to control its hover altitude and velocity. Normally the J2-12 is dropped from orbit, and then picked up once the survey is complete. Usually, it is used for hi-resolution local surveys, as planetary surveys are easier to accomplish from orbit.

For some reason, I'm incapable of building in color...

Ever since I first saw Ulrik Hansen's wonderful Copenhagen model (www.flickr.com/photos/ulrikbrick/albums/72157686587763290), I've been playing with the idea of using those techniques... so here's a small attempt at that. Of course it's Billund and it's 1954 because a map is available (map.krak.dk/?c=55.731508%2C9.114313&z=18&l=historic) and it will be easy to expand even in parts of the town not covered by the usual photos. I went for muted colors because all I have as reference are black and white photos and that black and white map. Also white buildings look great, in my opinion!

A huge thanks to Ulrik for the idea and the cool techniques!

Velma: "There's a very logical explanation for all this."

Shaggy: "Quick, tell me."

Velma: "The place is haunted."

Shaggy: "Thanks a lot."

The Variable-Vector Gunship Libatrix is a capable fighting ship in close quarters, deep space and choppy atmospheric flight - the angled, adjustable thrust modules striped in the stand-out teal are at the heart of the vessel's effectiveness. They take a co-pilot just to keep in check; this crew member usually controls the underslung beta-wave pulse cannons, too, laying suppressive fire against a range of targets.

Microscale SW is harder than it looks.

Continuing the obsession with micro action figures / game pieces.

This will be my brother-n-law's birthday present, hopefully he likes it as much I liked my present. Heavily influenced by the Skeksis's Castle. There's a couple of parts to finish it off and I will print a title for the base as well.
