Course 15, the green apple helium balloon.
One of the coolest desserts in America, and certainly one of the most unique, is the edible helium balloon from Alinea in Chicago. Made of green apple taffy, the quirky confection is the brainchild of chef Grant Achatz.
A bit odd to be planning one's trip to one's own hometown, but whatever. It's been ages since I've been back and I've daydreaming about places to dine and waters to swim.
Also, Rilakkuma is cute as always but Korilakkuma is the cutest here.
Venezuelan Arepa made with Harina PAN filled with Crazy curds Cheese from Achadinah Cheese Company. Jamon Iberia from Castro y Gonzales, Perigold Truffle and truffle honey.

L’hotel dispone di un’area di spiaggia sabbiosa digradante dolcemente in mare, è contornato da un’ incantevole pineta. Ricchissimo è il sottobosco costituito dalla tipica macchia mediterranea, quasi ovunque in estinzione.
Nell’ intrigo della vegetazione si individuano il Leccio, il Mirto divino, il Lentisco, il Ginepro,l’Erica, il Roseto ed un’ inestimabile collezione di piante e fiori. In prima linea spicca l’ argenteo colore del ginepro e degli ulivi secolari ed all’ inizio dell’ estate, spuntano centinaia di ciclamini, gigli, anemoni, cominciano a fiorire in lunghe siepi gli oleandri e le oltre mille piante di rose del Roseto. Sulla spiaggia uno dei piu’ bei fiori che la natura abbia creato, il profumatissimo Giglio di Mare.
L’ hotel è situato all’ interno dell’ osai protetta del Parco Naturale di Roccamonfina- Garigliano, presso il quale è possibile effettuare escursioni.

Kozatsu Olive fed wagyu with wild herbs from Bryan Jessop dressed in a fermented fresno vinaigrette and black trumpet mushrooms. Finished with a Shared Cultures Black garlic miso chintexle beef jus and perigord black truffle.
I guess today's the day that a tire company tells us who the best restaurants in Chicago are. Or something. Earlier this week, they left their mark in front of Hyde Park's La Petite Folie, indicating that the restaurant had won a "Bib Gourmand."
