The Alda Method® uses improvisational theater exercises and message design workshops to address the common pitfalls of science communication.
Simple method of rigging model biplanes using sprue and fishing line. Sprue, for those not familiar with it, is the plastic frame that model parts come attached to. Find a nice straight bit and hold it over a candle flame until it sags. Don't burn your fingers, or hold it too close. Once it sags just pull it out to make it as long or as thin as you need.
Once you have pulled loads of sprue you can cut it into handy lengths. To rig your model take a suitable length of sprue and hold it near the side of the flame until the tip mushrooms. Take the piece and thread it through a tiny hole that you have drilled in the model. Add a little drop of 'Superglue' to the underside of the head and pull the stretched sprue through the hole until the head sits on the top surface. Next, pull the sprue through the other hole and add another drop of glue. Plastic glue is not very good for this as it melts the plastic, so use superglue or PVA. Apply a little tension until the glue dries and move along to the next one. Light fishing line can also be used to make a stronger job. Just use the light stuff.
You can also make pretend rivets using this method. Be careful to work safely. Refer to the sketch and have fun. This can become addictive. Always keep the nice, straight pieces of sprue for your modelling, as it's useful for so many things.

Jewelry is material method of demonstrating strong feelings, including love and admiration. It's also great for celebrating important life events. People will love any piece of jewelry you allow them for years to come. Whether you intend to keep a piece yourself or give it to someone special, the tips presented below might teach you something new about jewelry.
Use a polishing cloth for your jewelry pieces. This easy technique can make your jewelry bright and shiny without having to use harsh solvents and chemicals. Buff your jewelry with the two-sided cloth, just just like you were cleaning a glass. Use the one side designated for polish, and the other for making it shine.
Never store your jewelry in open air or humidity. A jewelry box or drawstring bag out of a humid area is good. Metals will become tarnished when exposed to air and humidity. The thing about this is that non-precious metals cannot fully recover from this because underneath, the copper shows through. However, keep in mind that precious metals can go back to their own original forms.
Study current jewelry trends prior to shopping for a piece. The only thing that can make deciding on a fantastic piece of jewelry better is if you get it for much less.
Knowing what type of jewel you are buying when you purchase jewelry is very important. There are different types of gems, including imitation, natural and lab produced. Both synthetic and natural gems are real however, imitation is simply plastic. Natural gems are those that are actually from the earth, whereas synthetic ones are made in labs.
If you are in the market for new jewelry, look for sales! Jewelry sales offer big savings. Check ads in the newspaper, on the Internet, and in stores for the best deals. If you wait to buy jewelry until that exact style is going out of fashion, you can get it for almost 50 percent off of its original price.
Jewelery is a great gift for any occasion. Getting even a small piece of jewelry can feel great. Even the jewelry you buy and own for yourself will manage to benefit when you learn more about selecting and caring for it. Use these suggestions to find better pleasures in jewelery. www.virtualsokoni.com/sapphire_pendant_p/vs10070505.htm

The plywood sheets were glued together and then clamped at the bottom in the workmate jaws and the former. I then bent it around and down to put the G clamps on the back. This was a two man operation to lean on the plywood whilst Joe put the G clamps on. I had to put a few screws in as well to make it follow the curve.
