South Pier (originally known as Victoria Pier) is one of three piers in Blackpool, England. Located on South Promenade on the South Shore, the pier contains a number of amusement and adrenaline rides. It opens each year from March to November and is owned by The Sedgwick family.
The Blackpool South Shore Pier & Pavilion Co. Ltd. was registered in November 1890 and work began to build the pier in 1892. It was constructed, at a total cost of £50,000, using a different method than that used for North and Central piers, the Worthington Screwpile System. It opened, with a choir, two brass bands and an orchestra on Good Friday 1893. The 3,000 capacity Grand Pavilion opened on 20 May. At 163 yards (149 m) long, it was the shortest of the three piers, and had 36 shops, a bandstand, an ice-cream vendor and a photograph stall. It was built shorter and wider than North and Central piers to accommodate pavilions. Wikipedia

My entry for round 1 of The Middle Earth LEGO Olympics over on MOCpages. The category was to create a build based on one of J.R.R Tolkien’s poems or songs. Here is the one I chose:
Farewell we call to hearth and hall!
Though wind may blow and rain may fall,
We must away ere break of day
Far over wood and mountain tall.
To Rivendell, where Elves yet dwell
In glades beneath the misty fell,
Through moor and waste we ride in haste,
And whither then we cannot tell.
With foes ahead, behind us dread,
Beneath the sky shall be our bed,
Until at last our toil be passed,
Our journey done, our errand sped.
We must away! We must away!
We ride before the break of day!
I tried to portray the 3 main themes of the song: hearth and home, travel through the wild, and Rivendell.
I seem to be in an "academic" groove this morning... this gymnasium net reminds me of the deformable meshes used in finite element analysis.

Michel de Notredame, known as Nostradamus, was born in 1503 in Saint-Remy-de-Provence and studied in Avignon, which makes him the most Provençal of the legendary figures who over the centuries have continuously provoked interest around the world.
This multi-talented man who practiced the apothecary profession remains more famous for his studies of the stars and of various methods relating to the divining arts and the occult sciences. His reputation during his lifetime allowed him to mix with the most important figures of the day, from Catherine de Médicis to Rabelais, and his interest for science and the first notions of hygiene made of him one of the first doctors to have eradicated the Plague in Provence.

Music & the devices we have invented to listen to it are amazing discoveries/inventions that humankind has created. I know music makes me smile. :)
In 1877 the first phonograph was invented by Thomas Edison. The phonograph was the first method of recording and playing back sound. This was Edison's first great invention. Thanks Thomas Edison you helped millions of people smile and not just on Saturdays.

The Moab Mine is located about 20 miles west of Moab, Utah and is distinctive because of the method used to extract the potash. The mine began as a conventional underground mining operation in 1965, but was converted in 1971 to a system combining solution mining to extract the potash and solar evaporation to re-crystallize the product. Intrepid acquired the Moab Mine in 2000 and drilled new vertical wells into previously untapped areas of the old mine and drilled innovative horizontal solution mining caverns into previously untapped potash ore zones. These wells and caverns increase potash production by increasing the area available to solution mining.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your ongoing support. Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday.

"The method of writing smooth narrative can't be right. Things don't happen in one's mind like that. We experience, all the time, an overlapping of IMAGES and ideas, and modern novels should convey our mental confusion instead of neatly rearranging it. The READER must sort it out"

An adobe house is almost the only case of construction from a completely natural, organic material. Ecologically, this is the optimal method of construction, which really ensures high environmental friendliness of life, a healthy indoor microclimate, etc. The traditional method of producing adobe varies greatly among different nations and in different places. As a rule, clay is used for this, although often also ordinary black soil, in most places straw is also added. In the south of Ukraine, horse manure was often added to adobe as a binding material.

The Magic Column
The sculpture called "The Magic Column“ was installed on 28 April 2007. It is the work of German sculptor Peter Lenk from Bodman on Lake Constance who has polarized the public with his works of art for decades. His well-known works include the Imperia located at the harbor entrance of Constance, called "Constance Triumphal Arch" (Laubebrunnen) and, since October 2020, a sculpture in the state capital that addresses the controversial rail project Stuttgart 21. The artist, born in Nuremberg in 1947, claims to "expose the ambiguity of the concrete". Consequently, his works repeatedly face fierce criticism.
However, the "Magic Column" rises comparatively peacefully as a 15-meter-high monument on Meersburg's harbor rondel. This "magic vaudeville" gathers well-known personalities of Meersburg's town history illustrated in the costumes of their wishful fantasies; their impact is revealed by means of their presentation.
On the very top, a seagull with the face of Annette von Droste-Hülshoff follows the spinning dance in the wind giving the column opus a poetic dimension. In her poem "Am Turme" ("At the Tower"), Germany's most famous poetess wishes to experience freedom above the lake just like a seagull. Directly below the poetess, her brother-in-law Baron Joseph von Laßberg, a collector of medieval manuscripts and owner of the Meersburg Castle is perpetuated. Droste called him, among other things, "Nibelungen-Steckenreiter". Cupid appears as Meersburg's marksman right next to him. He hit the Lord of Castle Laßberg through the armor - twice in marriage, once out of wedlock. He also aimed at Droste's heart, whose beloved Levin Schücking (Laßberg's librarian) he missed with a grazing shot.
On the same level there is the noblewoman "Wendelgard von Haltnau". According to a legend, she was disfigured by a nose with a hump. Provided a councillor would dine with her every day and go out in a carriage every Sunday, Meersburg's poulation was allowed to farm her estate. Nontheless, it is assumed that the people of Meersburg rejected the offer; the people of Constance, however, accepted the offer - Constance enjoys the winery up until today, which is managed by the city's "Spitalkellerei".
At the column base the actions of the exorcist Johann Joseph Gaßner (1729-1779) is illustrated. In the truest sense of the word, the devils leave the body! His exorcistic healings caused a great sensation – in 1774, Meersburg‘s people also feverishly awaited the spectacular event.
Bishop Franz Konrad von Rodt and the physician Franz Anton Mesmer were opponents of exorcisms. Mesmer is considered by many as the founder of modern hypnosis therapy. He discovered a method of allowing the power of the body's own so-called "animal magnetism" to flow healingly into the suffering body. Unfortunately, it is not without irony that years later Mesmer suffered the same fate as Gaßner: his teachings were dismissed by the French Academy of Sciences as nonsense and charlatanry. Peter Lenk calls it grotesque to imprison recognized scientific capacities of Vienna like the court astronomer Hell, the president of the medical faculty Anton von Stoerck and the vaccinator Jan Ingenhousz as "intriguers" in a planetary cage and to let the "magnetisieur" Mesmer triumph over them!
Peter Lenk, the artist
The German sculptor Peter Lenk, born on 6 June 1947 in Nuremberg, is known for the controversial content of his art. Having passed various stations in life, he moved to Lake Constance after his vocational training. Lenk is based in Bodman- Ludwigshafen and created a variety of sculptures coming in Lenk'scher manner mainly with satirical character to the implementation. Within the Lake Constance area, the "Imperia", the "Triumphal Arch" and the "Career Ladder" located in Constance are included. The "Dix Curve" was made by him for Gaienhofen just as much as the "Sculpture Garden" in his hometown Bodman. Until 2015, the "Achaean" was on display at the train station in Fischbach. Today, it can be seen in the sculpture garden in Bodman-Ludwigshafen. At Meersburg's harbor pier rises the "Magic Column". Moreover, Lenk developed the "Bodenseereiter" for the "Landungsplatz" in Überlingen as well as a "Napoleon Monument" for the garden of the hotel "Gasthof Krone". In the municipal gallery of Überlingen, Lenk's "Celebrities and Proles" are also on display. The "U-Boot U20" (submarine U20) is set up on the Stockach savings bank grounds, and the "Ehrenwortbube" (jack of honor) at the "Untere Apotheke" (lower pharmacy). Peter Lenk also participated twice in the townscape of Singen am Hohentwiel, firstly through the "Paradise Tree" at Scheffelplatz and the "Doctor's Syringe" in Kreuzensteinstraße. In October 2020, the sculpture "S 21. The Monument - Chronicles of a Grotesque Derailment" was unveiled, commemorating actors around the billion-dollar rail project. The centerpiece is a figure based on Laocoon from Greek mythology and linked to the Trojan horse. More of his amazing objects have been installed throughout Germany, including in Berlin, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony.

Many enemy faction informants have been eliminated thanks to feigned justice, sometimes it's better to get someone else to do your dirty work so you don't get in the way.

Although I have had a lifelong affinity for the two wheel method of motorised propulsion, my effin arthritis got in the way, so now I can only take pics of bikes that catch my eye rather thrash the bejesus out of them on a Sunday. At least I didn’t end up missing a limb or crated before my time.

2) a big gay rainbow

[...] within the capitalist system all methods for raising the social productiveness of labour are brought about at the cost of the individual labourer; all means for the development of production transform themselves into means of domination over, and exploitation of, the producers; they mutilate the labourer into a fragment of a man, degrade him to the level of an appendage of a machine, destroy every remnant of charm in his work and turn it into a hated toil; they estrange from him the intellectual potentialities of the labour process in the same proportion as science is incorporated in it as an independent power; they distort the conditions under which he works, subject him during the labour process to a despotism the more hateful for its meanness; they transform his life-time into working-time, and drag his wife and child beneath the wheels of the Juggernaut of capital. But all methods for the production of surplus-value are at the same time methods of accumulation; and every extension of accumulation becomes again a means for the development of those methods. It follows therefore that in proportion as capital accumulates, the lot of the labourer, be his payment high or low, must grow worse. The law, finally, that always equilibrates the relative surplus population, or industrial reserve army, to the extent and energy of accumulation, this law rivets the labourer to capital more firmly than the wedges of Vulcan did Prometheus to the rock. It establishes an accumulation of misery, corresponding with accumulation of capital. Accumulation of wealth at one pole is, therefore, at the same time accumulation of misery, agony of toil slavery, ignorance, brutality, mental degradation, at the opposite pole, i.e., on the side of the class that produces its own product in the form of capital.

By artist Maurice Mbikayi. He was born in 1974 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, and currently lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.
In this figure’s clothing we recognize keys recuperated from old computer keyboards, a reference to the raw materials needed in today’s technology: it is still exploited workers who extract the ores from the ground in Congo, thus enabling the Western way of life. And afterwards, the West often dumps the materials back in Africa as toxic waste. Mbikayi collects the remains and uses them in his art. In this way, he not only denounces this skewed situation but also pays tribute to the resilience of the African people, who have found endless ways to make the most of limited resources. The ‘aesthetic observer’ is a flâneur and a dandy, an imagined cousin to the famous Congolese sapeurs. The dandy pays close attention to his appearance, as a sign of resistance and independence.
This imaged emerged from the following method:

The method to dress and present as my favourite woman has never changed. 💜💜
A woman's work is never done.
I love this photo.....
To get this result the following is required.
As us unusual girls in this world know, there is nothing more rewarding than the transformation. The journey we make from M to F is in my book one of the most exhilarating moments in life.
My run down starts like this.
Shower,
Shave (as required)
Dry and moisturise the body.
Apply make up. Except lips and lashes.
Paint nails.
Choose cloths.
Tape here and there if you want to........
Tuck away (we have to do it!)
Put on under wear,
Next it's Tights or stockings.
1 off Corset, (nice and tight)
Stop and take several deep breaths due to above!
Admire new fem shape.
More deep breaths and reflect on the transition!
Develop your breast shape.
Drink wine as required.
Dress in chosen outfit(s)
Pick a suitable hair style.
Earrings, bracelets, jewellery.
Slowly put on each high heel shoe.
Stand and admire the female shape and stance!!! (oh yes)
Finish lips, lashes and any minor defects.
Drink more wine.
Take a few pictures.
And the rest is up to you.
