I'm feeling rubbish today, so I thought I'd upload a picture to cheer me up, and make you laugh.

Last October we had a holiday in Cyprus, and because of the early flight time stopped in a hotel near to the airport. The trafford centre whiled away a couple of hours and a meal, but the best part was finding Murry playing with the apps on an ipad in the Apple shop. I joined in and these two pics are the result.

Looks like a creepy doorhandle to some haunted mansion not so? Actually... a macro closeup of our bedside table's handle.

Have a cold, so I have been needing extra sleep the past few days.

I think photoshop could be a lot of fun to play with more, so I'm hoping to get better with it - please be patient as I am learning. While this is new and exciting for me, it might be rather dull for you!

Friends+Walmart+Late at Night

Miah showed up eventually haha at night. He brought some candy and an energy drink for both of us, which was awesome. We headed out to Walmart for a while just to mess around. We rode a Ripstik skateboard around in the aisles for a bit, and Miah saw this baseball outfit and obviously thought it was great. Andrew threw him a ball, but he missed it. This was taken at 2:07 am with my cellphone, haha.

After messing around a bit more we headed out. We were planning on getting in the hot tub later, but it never happened. We went back home eventually and Miah read his Best Man speech to Andrew and I because his brother is getting married today. After watching a few amusing videos on the internet we then headed to bed.

Today I didn't do too much else. Andy and Nikkie are coming over for dinner then a few of us are probably heading back to Andy's to hangout for the night.

Sorry for all of the cell phone pictures lately. I have either not brought my camera places or had a good opportunity for a picture when I didn't have it. But it's still a picture! Haha. =)

Tomorrow I get to see Angie though! =) We're hanging out before she goes to camp for the week. I'm gonna miss her.

Just cropped a river pic and started messing around with the settings in Picasa. I threw the color warmness, lighting and shadow settings all out of whack. The original pic was of the Grassy River in Dummerston, Vermont

Messing around on top of this bale of hay...

Charlie keeps track of the toys.

I can't decide if this looks more like The Hulk or Shrek. I got this effect by messing with settings (manual? I don't need no stinking manual!) and just seeing what it could do. This came out looking cool. Sure looks like makeup and contacts to me, but nope. It's not. Here's the original: http://flickr.com/photos/bizzyb0t/645795684/in/photostream/

Well yes, doesn't everyone have painted skulls in their gardens?

Whilst wondering around the back of the park, we rediscovered the hill, which I honestly remember to be far taller than it actually is as well as the stage that lies right at the back.

We were walking back to the main bulk of the park where we found this old well. Amusingly, the grill lifts out so Andrew decided to climb in. Apparently, it's really cramp down there, which isn't highly surprising. The bottom of the well is also filled with coins but there was nothing good, otherwise lunch would have been on the well. Fife Council have probably already helped themselves to the decent coinage in here to help fund yet more needless rural 40 limits.

An idea that's been floating around my head for a while. Finally did some tests. The first one didn't work out so well because I couldn't get a long enough exposure during the day. (I need a better ND filter) The second was getting closer to what I was hoping for. I might try test #3 tonight. Depends on the weather. I need wind, but not rain. The music is the intro of an old song I made. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwdvCK9kT14

This one's mildly reminiscent of René Magritte's 'Son of Man'

Tonight, I am undone by her anger

a child carried off by challenges

none of my days prepared me

I asked for these tests,

I have never so known the side of me

revealed

in the dark, in the night-time,

unhinged, confounded, unleashed

anger, thunder, held back

only by a thin thread of love.

Today I went to a funeral to say goodbye to my great aunt. I wasn't very close to her but she was always a fixture in my life growing up. It's never easy to lose anyone regardless... you still lose a piece of you. She lived to be 87 which is a good span of time. It just made me think about my own life. I recently turned 30 and was thinking how I would like to live out the rest of my years if I ever made it to 87. This past year has been a year of self-realization and change. I feel like I'm back on the right path and focusing on what's important in life. Health, family, friends and the little things that make every day a gift.
