Y luego la muy cÃnica me saluda alegre entre risas silenciosas agitando la mano desde un lejano lugar.

Then she waves me happy in the middle of silent laughs from a place far away.
Messing around with my mate Laura's new purchase from Portabello market- a Scots Guards cap. Luckily she's a Scot herself so it's not as naff as you might think :)
My first portraits as a new business were of mother and son who are close friends of the family and willing guinea pigs. No poses were planned, all I asked them to do was sit and mess around.

Seth and I (and sometimes Mary) go bowling on Tuesday nights at Wells Lanes in South Saint Paul. They have an arcade too. After bowling one night Seth was winning tickets at skee ball and I was messing around with the camera by the other games. This is what I got.
Taken by Cory Funk.
There was an assembly of some sort in the Great Hall at the Capitol today. Later in the day, I found the podium unattended and just couldn't help myself. After all, I've got some work to do after yesterday's picture.
Playing around with a new lens for my camera that a friend of ours gave me... it is really good for FAR FAR away stuff. :)
The strain of sorting out my tax return was getting to me, so as it’s another nice sunny day today I took some time out of the office and went in search of some good vantage points to grab a few landscape shots from. This was taken on the hill over looking Woolacombe, the village where I grew up and is still dear to my heart. Below is sneak peak from the shots I took. Just the two though and both taken with my 8mm fisheye lens set at f/16. Why?, Well why not. I know the lens is not the highest quality glass in my bag but it does the job for me. Just gives the shots a funky perspective. Hence the almost extreme processing on the shots too. I also took a 3 shot panoramic with my 17-40mm L lens too, which I am working on in Photoshop as I sit here and update todays 365 shot. That shot will be included in another project I am doing entitled “20/11″, but more on that towards the spring.
messing around with several shots that I have. I plunked the windmill in there, the moon is enlarged exposed the moon and then repositioned during he shot to get the house. similar to the my previous shot. I am getting better at the exposures and lining up the image, but it is still trial and error.
I will be out tonight the moon is terrific!
Last evening I was going through some flickr mail, some as far back as April... yeah, I'm not the best at keeping up with any kind of mail.
Anyway I had a couple month old mail from diyosa, telling me she'd deleted an image that I'd faved & she'd re-uploaded it. (Be sure to check out that adorable little girl of hers!)
So I finally I go look. Not only had she re-uploaded the image, but she also included a link for these fabulous photoshop brushes. Of course, I had to download them! And of course, I had to play with them! Well, I was making a big fat mess trying them out, so I went to bed. This morning the file was still opened, so... the big fat mess pushed onward!!
I'll have to give these brushes a more serious approach some other day.
Went a bit nuts with them here. ;-)
Note: This was not taken by me (duh, I'm the subject :P). It was taken by my good friend Adam. Check out his Flickr, he has some excellent shots posted.
It was taken a few years ago (you can see my long hair). I've got no idea what I was doing, or why I was doing it, but he snapped a picture of it that I love, so I thought I'd share it. Don't ask me why I have a shower cap on (given the rest of the picture, that shouldn't really surprise you at this point). And yes, there is candy in the Pez dispenser ;)
Last night I realised I didn't have a photo to upload for Christmas day so I dusted off my colour changing presents for a new photo session.
Earlier in the year I found an old toy lying around the house, when you look through this toy it's as if you're looking through a compound eye (well, a very basic one) and I'd be trying to think of a way to incorporate that into a photo for a wee while.
After some messing around I finally came up with a set up I was happy with. The toy is sitting on a DVD case to raise it to the required height. The case also reflects the lights from the presents.
I took a few photos of this scene but they seemed far too similar to last year's Christmas photo so this year you have a video set to some nice music. I don't know if it's all that Christmassy but I like it for what it is.
You may notice that there's a little jump in the video towards the minute mark. This was caused by me standing up and nudging the camera slightly but it doesn't distract too much.
Anyway, I hope you all have a funjoyable day and all that pish.
Ho ho ho.
