Of all the pictures I've ever posted to the old photolog on my website, I recently learned that this is the most popular. It's turned up on about a dozen message boards and it sucks up an intriguing amount of bandwidth. (It is the best image on a Google Images search for "mcgriddle," if you don't count the picture of the fat kid that tends to accompany this one on all those messageboard posts). I don't have the heart to do an image-blocking widget on my site, but it'd be great it people linked to this image on Flickr now instead of from my server. Not very likely though.
I continue to believe that McGriddles are horribly gross, by the way. Give me a sausage-egg-and-cheese biscuit or McMuffin any day. In fact, I had a McMuffin this morning and I don't regret a morsel of it. It was positively succulent. But keep your rubbery, syrup-soaked quasi-flapjacks away from my saturated fats, thank you very much.

Driving northbound US-93 just northwest of the I-40 interchange, driving up the hill and approaching a traffic message board indicating travel time to Bullhead City (34 minutes away) and to Hoover Dam (just over an hour) as we leave Kingman.
Notice the small "Future I-11 Corridor" sign just past the message board.

Fancy electronic street sign - they are usually telling us that the street is a.closed or b/squeezed in to one lane! The wheels are removed as an anti-theft deterrent - though why anyone would steal it is beyond me. A bit too big as a living room decoration!
Front and back of this one-of-a-kind clipboard are covered with coordinating vintage inspired papers of blue and yellow. The edges are sanded for a distressed look and decoupaged with lots of layers of mod podge and an acrylic sealer. To finish, the clipboard is embellished with lots of ribbon and tag that says "Those Were the Days."
Measurement: 12-1/2" x 9"

Story Time: I bought this from one of Drive-Thru's grasping-at-straws clearance sales for only $6. I brought it with me to the last Early November show I ever went to in Baltimore, MD (Ram's Head Live w/ New Found Glory, Cartel, & Hit The Lights) in order for the band to sign it. I'm somewhat of a dedicated TEN fan: drove countless miles for them, posted on the TENboards for YEARS, and have held friendships not only with the band members but the people I met through them (messageboards, shows, etc) ever since. About a year previous I had given the whole band some tins of my incredible homemade fudge for Christmas and Ace had emailed me personally to get me to make more for them. He forever remembered me as "the fudge kid" and thusly signed my record "Hey Dude! Wheres the fudge? - Ace Enders" When he did, his now-wife, Jen exclaimed "Arthur!" and apologized to me. I didn't mind.
I'm way too much of a fanboy.
