Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜

Scott settled in to play his piano for a while this afternoon and I used his distraction as a nice excuse to get a rare and un-staged photo of him.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

As chief artificer of the Brotherhood of Makuta, Raximoras built fortresses, weapons, robots and armour for his brethren. He was renowned throughout the Matoran Universe - but, when he was bested by seemingly simple matoran crafters, he was humbled.

A toa with both matoran and vorox ancestry, living many centuries after the Reformation of Spherus Magna. Her mask of speed is much more powerful than she realises, and has a history that has been all but forgotten.

More about her over on the TTV Messageboards here!

She was built with a limited number of 2015-16 CCBS sets.

Would all you guys registrate on this forum ? It's a new forum from my friends, so they need some people, posts & topics. So they can make a good start !

Built to explore the icy mountains of Pluto's surface, New Horizons II's heart is warmed by the nuclear heat of recycled atom bombs.

Built for Round One of the 2019 Bio-Cup. Theme is "Solar System" and my assigned category is Pluto.

Idea here was to build near-future follow-up mission to New Horizons, which famously mapped Pluto's surface in 2015 and discovered the distinctive heart shape.

This time the aim is to physically land on the dwarf planet and take samples of frozen nitrogen, methane and water ice with the aid of its excavator tool, gyroscopic legs, multilayer insulation, auxiliary cameras and a plutonium power source.

Self-MOC of Kemzal over on the TTV Messageboards. He recently got featured on Ven's Spotlight too so it seems my building him was timely. :)

Another one I forgot to upload; the 6th of this series of chibified self-MOCs from the community. This is the self-MOC of KaibaGal, who unfortunately has left since this was voted for over on the TTV Messageboards.

Self-MOC of Rockho, AKA Acidicacid

Part of my 6th chibi series (yep, I've made 30 of these little guys now!) and another random draw from a hat, nominated by a couple members of the community. To nominate someone in the community, you can do that here on the TTV Messageboards.

This guy has a launcher and a geared mechanism because why not?

I found Sarah on a messageboard called WhiteChapel. Fans of writer Warren Ellis were putting up, as his request, self-portraits, and after I put mine up, I started looking through the rest.

She caught my eye, so I followed her link back to her flickr page, contacted her.

At the time she lived in San Francisco, but eventually everyone comes to LA. Because the whole world revolves around me.

So she, of course, moved down here a few weeks ago, and we had ourselves a shoot. Which went easy and well, as we chatted and chowed down on Twizzlers.

Which kind of leads into what happens next.

What happens next is that I drive down to San Diego tonight, to spend the next four days amongst Warren Ellis' contemporaries at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Nerd Mecca.

I'll of course be taking pictures. Many many pictures. I've bought around 15 rolls of medium format film, and today I'm planning on picking up another 10 packs of Polaroid film. I'll also be snapping away with my iPhone.

So, perhaps, no more hot girls for a few days.

...

Who am I kidding, I'm bringing my computer with me, of course i"ll keep posting. I wish I knew how to quit you, Flickr.

I'm thinking I'll post the iPhone pix up on my BLOG, so check there for continual update, along with, most likely, stories of how fucking crazy the Con is.

Woop woop, HERE COMES ADVENTURE!!!! AND NERDS!!!!

Very cool idea at Union Bagel in Los Angeles Union Station.... messageboards continuously give information on departing trains, so you won't miss your Metrolink commute while getting a bagel snack.

These are actually about as good as any other ones I've seen at other train stations.

Self-MOC of Wertman8 of MOCpages. Part of my Community Chibi Project over on the TTV Messageboards.

Almost 10 years ago to the day, I started making little chibi versions of the self-MOCs of various community members. At the time I was entirely based on MOCpages, though this series also includes one YouTuber - ToaKalik.

From left to right:

Cossy (Ben Cossy)

Lordanian (Jordan2444)

The Wanderer (Dark Crusader)

Kalik (ToaKalik)

Vazok (MacLane Mars)

Luja (Chopperskull)

Since then the series has shifted from being based on MOCpages, with the first two seasons consisting of a mishmash of tiny models made for various reasons and the third based entirely on fire-themed self-MOCs, to Deviantart where six more were chosen to fit a blue and white colour scheme, and finally to the TTV Messageboards in 2016, where it still continues based on community suggestions drawn from a hat.

The aim of the series has shifted too, from making my friends, to exploring the work of strangers, to trying to get as representative a sample as I can of the community as a whole.

It has seen me hunting down old links, making old friends, or being introduced to new builders, from all corners of the web - from MOCpages to DeviantArt to here on Flickr, to BZPower, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.

Stud.io has let me recreate the original six, and I'm slowly working on the rest, making sure to keep the renders and files permanently archived so that they aren't lost to time as sites shift or lose data.

As of today, I've made 54 of the little buggers, with plenty more to come.

Sam's Club - Chesterfield, Mo.

Its not big, or clever. But it still made me laugh quite a bit. Especially the thought that someone was moved enough by the poster to fetch a step ladder and a handful of stencils.

Yep, its fair to say that Bolton isn't really a Conservative area. In any sense of the word. :)

Update: 30 Jan 2010

A strange footnote to this picture. I noticed a lot of activity (views) coming from the same source, and it appears the the image has stirred quite a debate on a random message board. I have yet to add my £0.02-worth to the board, but will do as the comments there are significantly more negative than those of the kind people below.

Much mention of swearing = limited vocabulary, which doesn't sit right with me. I can think of another single, non-sweary word which so succinctly makes the point that this one does.

Lets also remember that this isn't scrawled across the bottom of the poster in a marker pen. This is some 12-15 feet up (at least), so someone has had to take the time to get a ladder, then make sure that the stenciling is suitably spaced.

Like I said, it’s not big, it’s not clever... but it’s not ignorant either.

Update 2 Feb 2010

It appears another messageboard has picked up on this picture. It never fails to amaze me how random things like this can just snowball.

I did try to join Different Dimention (the first messageboard) so that I could join in the debate on this image and on the use of swaering in general, but as yet I have had no reply from their admin to confirm that i can join. Oh well.

Built for a community MOC project on the TTV Messageboards a while back.

Kualus is one of the Rahaga from 2005 who never saw release in toa form like Norik and Iruini did. Like Norik and Iruini, he has a metru body and armour in a metallic colour, as well as some modern parts for the mask, weapon, shield and armour given that, if he were ever released as a set, he might well have had new moulds for those parts. Rhotuka spinner can fire, and his spear can be used as a flute. Jet-wings and general owl/avian aesthetic because Kualus really, really, really likes birds.

The Smoke Hawk is a canon rahi that hasn't had much love. Perhaps it's an animal companion, or just a lost fledgling Kualus is nursing back to health. I loved the Lhikan and Kikkanalo set and this follows the same idea.

Because this was more than just a tablescrap, he ended up with a playlist of music I was listening to for inspiration while building him. This is really becoming a habit of mine but it's probably a good one. www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZZki7vcAKr-Uuj-ky_yXlRlxm...

VIASA (Venezolana Internacional de Aviación SA) Venezuela

Regular KLM flights sometimes brought aircraft in VIASA and Philippine Airlines colours to Riem, like PH-DTG on this occasion. PH-DTG was also seen at Riem the day before (15 April 1978), but otherwise I have no report of PH-DTG (or YV-134C) at Munich's old airport.

PH-DTG apparently was delivered in VIASA colours and never wore KLM colours (source: EHAM historical movements thread on the scramble messageboard).

Information from flickr - thanks to heathrow junkie:

c/n 46556 - McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 was delivered new to KLM as PH-DTG in April 1974, leased to Viasa Venezuela in 1977, and then sold to the airline in 1978 and re-registered as YV-134C. The aircraft flew with the airline for 20 years before being sold to Iberia as EC-GTB. Just two years later, in 2000, the aircraft flew back to the USA into storage, finally being broken up at Miami - Opa Locka in 2006.
