We both turned to look at the other trying to mask our interest with the disdain that we knew we should have felt toward the encouragement to spend so freely during the depths of the recession that followed the crash of 2008. But we were too gluttonous to let the opportunity pass by. So we booked it.

My dog Merlot 4 months before she died of old age and possible poisoning. She was a buddy for 7 years.
My little sister and I collaborated on this wine label for Father's Day this year.

Good morning. I thought I would begin the week with three more labels from the Marilyn (Monroe) Merlot wine series beginning with this 1991 release featuring a photo taken by Ed Feingersh in 1955. The pose and idea for the shot was prompted by a journalist's question to Marilyn asking what she wore to bed. To which she replied, "Chanel No. 5." The bottle of perfume is behind the Marilyn Merlot enscription on the label and can be seen better in the original photo at the below link:
