Harvested Merlot two Saturdays ago. Harvest is usually over by now but the Cabernet Sauvignon isn't ready yet :)
First attempt at a still life with some lighting.
Strobist info: Key light camera right, through a diffusion panel. Background light is a bare flash with a red filter. Reflector to camera left. Fill light into softbox, on axis. All triggered with cactus v4.

2 fur...I have a lot of catching up to do. Broke out the light tent and flash for this. Positioned left and to the rear, fired 3x (mostly because I'm still learning flash techniques) and picked the best of about 10 shots to work on in PS. Cleaned up a few areas where the glass was showing small blemishes and sharpened the rest. Cropped, watermarked and compressed for Flickr.
Now, lets see what's on the label...

ahhh that explains the screeching golden bird on the bottle! Enjoy...angled towards the screen in a purposefully tempting fashion, so go right ahead. Apparently its recommended to pair with pan fried veal or chicken cacciatore :)
