Figuring that the merchandise would probably make a quick appearance on M1 I shifted back to the north side only to have a commuter show up! No photo, but I wasn’t disappointed for long, because right behind it and one track over was the merchandise!

There were one or two gift shops on the Disney and Universal theme parks. Luckily we stumbled upon them.
Many folks who play trading cards will already know about card sleeves which basically protect the card during battle. The cards are coated so they are fine on their own but the sleeve will provide an extra layer of protection. Hmmm. Did that turn out sounding strange? ^^;
Anyway, the card in the middle here is the one in the sleeve.

The Merchandise Mart (Graham Anderson Probst & White, 1928). The building was built by Marshall Field, but owned by the Kennedy family for many years. It is currently the 11th-largest building in the world, at 4 million square feet, housing mostly wholesale furniture, design, and decoration showrooms.
Lucas Films asked me to create a batch of illustrations for the Indiana Jones franchise, I was given a open brief, as long as it was some how connected to the 4 movies I could pretty much do anything I liked.
The illustrations were used various bits of merchandise from books to collectable playing cards.
