In the center of Dubai everything is for sale

The sun is rapidly retreating on the horizon as BNSF 6540 East leads general merchandise freight HSTOBAR131A across Tower Line Road.

So far just small ones, soon the larger ones will arrive, filing this entire area.

"In 1928, Wilbur S. and Florence Badley gave the land on Cape Foulweather to the state of Oregon with provisions that the state not allow concessions on the property, the sale of merchandise or the erection of buildings on the land. The state was to maintain the viewpoint for the public."

"Cape Foulweather was discovered by Captain James Cook, the English explorer on March 7, 1778. The weather was particularly stormy on the day of his discovery (winds of 100 mph at the cape are not unusual). Captain Cook named the location Cape Foulweather, the first geographic location named on this voyage to the north Pacific coast."

Shops in a street underpass. I wonder how they survive even though people are forced to use the underpass as deliberately there are no traffic lights on the street above.

The Voorstraat Harbor is the oldest port in Dordrecht, straight through the historic center of the city. In many places in the city you have beautiful views over the water. Dordrecht originated on the Thure stream, the later Voorstraat Harbor. In the past, you could moor at several locations in the Voorstraat harbor to load or unload your merchandise. Dordrecht was granted staple rights in 1299, which resulted in enormous economic growth. Staple right meant that many goods transported on the Lek and Merwede had to be marketed in Dordrecht before being transported further.

This heralded the Golden Age of Dordrecht (1350 – 1450). The stack made Dordrecht a hub of trading activities. Goods were traded and consumed from all parts of the world.

When the Voorstraat harbor became too small, other harbors were dug. The Voorstraat harbor is special because it runs under the town hall and under the Scheffersplein! No fewer than 7 bridges have been built over the port: the Leuve Bridge, the Pelser Bridge, the Lombard Bridge, the Vis Bridge, the Tol Bridge, the Wijn Bridge and the New Bridge. On each of these bridges you have a unique view over part of the harbour! After the Wine bridge, the Voorstraat haven turns into the Wine harbor.

An EL eastbound merchandise train with 2 SD45's is seen off of Exchange St in Akron on January 12, 1975. The tracks in the view left to right are 1 PC secondary, 2 PC mains used by the B&O as their mains, 2 EL mains, and the EL yard lead. The EL freight house is in the background. The lead SD45 had been 1 of 3 EMD demonstrators originally bought by the D&H. The SD45's fit the EL roster better than the the D&H so an equal number of U33C's were traded to the D&H where they fit the roster better than the EMD's. The SD45's were not renumbered to fit the other SD's that were all in the 36xx series. By December of 1975 they were traded back to the D&H. This train had worked the yard in Akron and is seen tying back on to continue east. I could see the power on the EL main as it came under Exchange St from out the window of the house I rented in college.

There are two Disney Store Limited Edition Brave items that were first noticed on the US Disney Store website on May 14, 2012, but were not part of the new arrivals group. In fact, when they were first noticed (by browsing on keyword 'brave') they were both already sold out. By next day, they were already not searchable by keyword (but the pages were still viewable via a direct link or product code). I wonder whether these were actually for sale at some earlier date, or are merely placeholders for a future release.

The items and web links to them are as follows:

The Disney Store's Brave Princess Merida Snowglobe was released on May 31, 2012 online. It is a 5'' diameter snowglobe containing the medieval Scottish Princess Merida at the ready with her bow and arrow. It lights up via 2 blue LEDs, and also has a blower that will keep the ''snow'' moving automatically. The ''snow'' consists of blue glitter and larger multi-colored reflective leaves. You have to shake the snowglobe every few minutes to get the larger pieces moving again. The It comes with 3 AAA batteries. Its cost is $49.50 US.

I bought it online on it's release date, and received it today (June 11). and photographed being deboxed and fully deboxed in full daylight. Then I switched on the lights and blower, and photographed it both in daylight and in the dark.
