Member's Choice - Found in the Kitchen.

For this shot I had to really think long and hard. Since I didn't want to shoot a casual kitchen item. I first wanted to use some quinoah, pasta and rice to make something nice, but then I noticed this garden spider hanging in front of the window of our kitchen.

So technically she's part of our kitchen, thus I took the shot.

I never got this close up to a spider with this specific lens, but my goodness, have I been struck with awe when I saw those details.

Everybody have a blast with this theme and see you next week!

This little fella was found with his friends in our kitchen drawer and the succulent, fresh Sweet Corn he is stuck into, taken out of our fridge. He measures 5.5cm in height and 3cm across his skirt. This is my contribution towards this weeks Macro Mondays theme of Members Choice - Found in the Kitchen. HMM

Every day this loyal tool provides so much help and good taste in each meal, making them unique and delicious.

Big hugs,

Mayonga.

Will probably shoot a few shots on this week's theme and then pick the best to submit... But this is one to get the ball rolling...

I am also expecting delivery of my latest piece of macro glass over the next couple of days, the Oshiro 60mm f/2.8 2:1 LD UNC Manual Ultra-Macro Lens www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010R8MGA6/ref=oh_aui_detailp... , so am looking forward to experimenting and putting that through its paces. 2:1 should open up and reveal even more fascinating macro detail...!

You'll always find me in the kitchen at parties ... "Jona Lewie"

Crazy refrigerator magnet was a Christmas gift from cat-loving relative.

Mice are not always welcome in the kitchen but this little chap lives in mine and doesn't give me any trouble.

I like to start the day with some coffee

You don't want it in the kitchen, but one eventually turns up - either by itself or as a present from the cat.

No animals (cat or mouse) were harmed in the making of this week's image.

This kitchen witch came back with me from a trip to the Black Forest sometime ago. I was told she belongs in the kitchen, where she watches over food being cooked, making sure it doesn't burn or spill...I'm thinking I may have to send her back home ;). HMM

this somehow strange utility is part of the kitchenstuff in our holidayflat. it looks like the crossed result of a scissor and a crocodile:)

I found this dishwashing brush in our kitchen. Although I don't like using it as cooking creates more fun than cleaning up, it is photogenic and a good object for this week's theme.

A vintage 1950's Glass jar/bottle lid opener that opens with ease lids from 1 inch upto 5 inches. A wooden handle is turned left or right and the central cog wheel engages in the teeth of the two metal grips that fit tight against the lid sides gripping it to allow effortless opening. Here the photograph shows the most interesting part of one of the most useful and long lasting tools found in my kitchen :-)
