I joined the group only about one month ago, I missed the most of the year themes, therefore it was very difficult to choose one, because they are all very interesting and inspiring.
At the end I decided for this one that could be "Abstract macro" or "Found in the kitchen" (straws).

OK, if you are abroad exploring new cities (Edinburgh) and need to find a motif for the theme... I can tell you the number of items in an airbnb kitchen can be told with a hand... but can openers are "mainstream"... HMM!!!
A redux of several themes -- made of metal, B&W, and found in the kitchen. This is a macro of an egg whisk -- somewhat semi-abstract and I thought the monochrome would enhance it a little. Hope you enjoy -- HMM and a Happy New Year to all!

For Macro Mondays theme 'Found in the Kitchen'.
A small section (within the 3 inch rule) of a glowing ceramic hob ring, plus reflection from a saucepan sitting on it.
Thought this might be a great name for a band, but found that someone had beaten me to it. Small selection of chilli peppers, high up on the Scoville Scale. The smallest is White Ghost, I've lost the labels from the other two...it's an age thing. HMM
This is a mechanically assisted corkscrew (turn the handle to push the screw into the cork, then pull down on the handles to pull the whole thing out of the bottle. For Macro Mondays theme "Member's Choice - Found In The Kitchen"
As I am staying in a hotel at the moment I asked the staff if there was anything interesting in their kitchen. My language skills need improving as a wee while later I was handed some pistachio nuts. Unless they have an uninteresting kitchen !
