I think this is a really good photograph, this compostition is perfect, and so is the lighting.
I really like the way he is standing, the way he is nearly a silhouette to the intense light in the background, it makes his skin seem green.
combined family crests! One features a buck and blue based color scheme on a shield, the other features three red hands on a shield. Both had flourishes around them, and both family names start with M so I shaped the initial into the shield. Very fun endeavor and I'm happy with the results and DEFINITELY happy with what it symbolizes
Maynard Jackson was the first African-American mayor to be elected to office in Atlanta. Atlanta decided to give him a section in the Oakland Cemetery. They decided to give him a substantial amount of land in which today you will see many people playing or having picnics on the lot. His headstone faces downtown Atlanta in which he served. Prior to Maynard Jackson there weren’t many African-Americans buried here with the exception of a select few. This drew more diverse crowds to the park/cemetery. Jackson is the 25th mayor laid to rest in the Oakland Cemetery along with six Georgia Governors.
